THIS year’s biggest headline makers – Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton – were shamed into skipping the Teen Choice Awards, which aired Sunday night on Fox. “There was originally going to be a ‘Newsmakers of the Year’ award,” said our insider. “Paris was nominated for her 23-day stint in jail, Lindsay for her latest DUI bust and Britney for the infamous head-shaving incident. But none of them would dare to show up . . . all the publicists [for the celebutards] went crazy on Fox, and they just scrapped the category.”

Page Six usually sucks, but this is news worthy and possibly true. So Paris skipped the awards because of that category, but we know that she was happy to be nominated for her role on Simple Life.
