Are you sure international fans are not able to watch it on-line? I’m a non-US resident and I’m still able to watch it via MTV’s Overdrive.
Anyway, talking about the show, I was quite dispointed at first because there was nobody I really liked in this season, but Stephanie and Desiræ are really starting to grow on me (I have to confess the reason I like Desiræ is because she reminds me –I don’t know why– of Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan).
I still have to say that I enjoyed the British version more, first of all because there were lots of contests I really liked and I saw as real friend-material: Carrie, Kat, Laura M., Jade, Ola, Flic, and, of course, Sammy. I really liked Kayley and Shelly from last American season, but they were cut down way too quickly.
Even though both US versions were very entertaining, I just fell that Paris seamed to care much more about the UK contestants too. I mean, she always seamed upset during most eliminations, she was very moved by them, really spent time with them. This season, however, she seams not to really like anyone (yet) and at eliminations she didn’t really seem sad at all and there were times she didn’t even bother to pretend she was.
Please, don’t take it the wrong way, I’m not saying the show is bad. I really like it. I just feel that the closeness she managed to have with the contestants before is somehow missing this season. But that’s just my opinion.

!!SPOILER!!
But why the heck didn’t Paris TTYN Kaitlin? I know she tends to be protective towards the ones who are being mobbed in the house, mostly because she relates to them. The thing is that I think this time is quite different.
Corrie from last season and Carrie from the British version, were, the way I saw it, bullied mostly because they were easy targets. I mean, the first one was kind of sluty and it was easy to put out the defects on her. Besides, I thought that the whole ‘racist’ thing was very stupid from Corrie, because, even though I wouldn’t see it as a big deal (for me, it was more about her having a stereotyped view from the culture in Asia, not really thinking the asian ‘race’ is worse), she just gave the other an acceptable reason to trash her. Carrie, IMO, used that sweet facade more as a shield. I don’t think she was fake. She looks more like the type of person that was treated really bad in the past and tries to compensate by being nice to everyone she knows. I don’t think it was something she did on purpose, even though she was sweet to the point of being extremely irritating.
Kaitlin, on the other side, seems to be the person who likes to be surounded with drama. If things are okay and everyone is in peace, she always manages to mess with someone who already dind’t like her so much until their limits and then she goes like ‘Oh, I was just there minding my business and this crazy person just popped out of nowhere and started screaming with me. I’m such a victim’. I think she’s a liar.
Anyway, I wasn’t certain if Chris deserved to go, but all my doubts are gone after reading this: http://tinyurl.com/kmrreo
Is that serious? I mean, I don’t really care if he’s accusing Doug of forcing Paris to eliminate him, I was just somehow disgusted when he went “He immediately wanted me off the show … and I can’t blame him. How would you have felt if your girlfriend hand-picked Chris Krueger for her reality TV show?”. I mean, would his ego really pass through Paris’s front door? I’m afraid not.

Sorry for the extreme long comment, if someone took the time to read it, btw.

After oppdating myself on the show, i’m likeing it more & more, and this ep was much bether then the last one.
I think the righet person went home.
But the ”Thinkerbell” the Onch had was fake, bigger and just diffrent inn the face then the real one we see whit paris.
She probably hate’s him ore something.
One thing I do like this season, is the fakt that her dog’s have a part inn it, they are cute.

i’m personally tired of onch and his irritiating little giggle. why is he even there? is it because paris is less involved with the contestants this season?

that could be why we know so little about the contestants, even at this point. i’ve watched every episode now several times and still don’t know all the contestants names, much less have any sense of their personalities. also, the quality of the contestants seems gernerally a bit poorer as well. i mean what do these people do in their own lives? again, we really don’t know much about them.

the show just seems flat this season. i still like it, but i’m still waiting for a great episode. and yeah, paris is more harsh, which also takes away from the fun atmosphere. i think that makes everyone more competitive and harsher with each other. mean vibe all around, not so fun any more.

i know MTV had to cut production costs, that could be why they aren’t traveling as much or doing things outside the house, but geez, there’s plenty of things that can be done inexpensively that would be more interesting than the challenges so far.

sigh.

Just need to say I agree that Kaitlin should have been kicked off to, she’s not like Corrie and Carrie at all. She just seem so fake, and Playing the victim when she can, and i think she even say it inn an episode that she’s not at nice as people think. And It’s kinda clear i think. She’s just playing the victem game becuse she know Paris feel for them.

juju, i think that’s the reason Onch is there yes, Kinda like a Paris stand inn ore something, wish she sould just do it herself.
And I to think we don’t really get to know the potential BFF’s as much this season, But I jsut hope it get’s better as the season goes along,

I have to say I cannot stand Onch. If Brittany is a hungry tiger he is a starving one.
I was so glad wen he was sent home last season and now I have to endure his giggling every time I want to watch the show.

Math,

I think some countries are able to watch it, but most international members aren’t allowed.

Well, anyway, I agree with most of what you guys wrote. I find this season a bit disappointing.

I’m not sure if it’s OK to include straight guys (depends on the type) in the list of contestants, but the types of guys she brought to the show are almost certainly in it for developing a close (love) relationship with her.

Oh well, I’ll stop here. It has become much more of an entertainment show than a serious show where Paris is really searching for a BFF. But I’m going to keep on watching and see if there’s a potential BFF…

personally, i’d like it to be more of an entertainment show rahter than being portrayed as a search for a true BFF. i think that casued the brittany-break-up drama.

and really, with fans like us, why does paris need any more BFFs?
