Former manager wants to release a book about Paris Hilton

Written by NY Daily News

The man who says he created Paris Hilton now wants to take her apart.

Just when this week’s MTV documentary about her had Paris floating on air, we had to call and bum her out with the news that her estranged manager, Jason Moore, is shopping a book about her.

Hilton rep Dawn Miller sounded none too pleased when we told her that publishers are bidding on Moore’s book about the star-making machinery behind Paris’ rise.

It’s being pitched as a business book about how Moore molded “this blond piece of clay into a global icon” with a reality TV franchise and fashion and beauty lines.

But editors are also expecting Moore, who says he didn’t sign a confidentiality agreement, to dish on behind-the-scenes drama.

“Jason will demonstrate how, for 10 years, he managed to save his mercurial client from disgrace by manipulating the media, and Paris herself,” according to a pitch letter making the rounds. “Paris was oftentimes her own worst enemy, making a sex tape with a former boyfriend, nursing hangovers during photo shoots, falling asleep everywhere, and getting thrown in jail for numerous driving violations. If Paris Hilton didn’t have Jason Moore pulling the strings, cleaning up her messes … she could well have faded into oblivion.”

Moore, who’ll call his memoir “Controlling Chaos,” says the girl unkindly branded a “celebutard” was more than willing. “[She] spent hours at a time posing in front of the mirror, nailing down the ideal position to create the perfect paparazzi photo.”

Her hope, he says, was to become “the kind of character … that would land commercials, international endorsements, film and television roles.” He winkingly adds, “… and the man (or maybe even the girl) of her dreams.”

Moore, described in the proposal as Hilton’s “Wizard of Oz-like manager,” will also talk about the temptations he saw – “the all-night partying; easy access to women and drugs.”

Moore and Hilton parted ways last year amid reports that his wife was fed up with the time he was devoting to his client.

Moore denied that, telling Us Weekly, “There were a lot of reasons – both personal and professional – for the split, but nothing had anything to do with my marriage.”

Moore and his Literary Group agent, Frank Weimann, declined to comment.

Hilton, who recently returned from taping a new international version of her “BFF” series in Dubai, also had no comment. But a friend of hers claims, “Given the legal issues, I’d be surprised if this book sees the light of day.”

He was just her business manager, he could not possibly have created Paris. She did that by herself.

It’s also doubtful he was her confidant, since she has a closeknit family.

So Jason Moore turns out to be another one in a long line of people who are trying to profit indirectly from the Hilton name. Sad.

scary stuff. it would be an interesting read though,
would it be done to be vindictive though? I didn’t think the split was
all that bad, Jason just wanted to spend more time with his family. I think it may be a positive to show how much she has changed, how far she has come and
grown. Although airing dirty laundry is not nice, not at
all. Hmm we’ll see.

Well, I’m a little undoubtful, especially since this comes from NY Daily News. Jason Moore has been or was Paris’ manager for a looong time! I’m not even sure if he still is. I don’t know! Didn’t he make an appearance at the Pledge This! trial?

Yup Enkil, Jason Moore testified during the Pledge This! trial.

I really hate crap like this especially since so much crap can be made up and then of course the general public believes it as though it’s gospel simply b/c it’s negative towards Paris. They’re always so quick to believe the negative things said about her but then dismiss the positive things like say her charitable work for example. Frustrating.

He is not her business manager anymore, although he testified at the trial. He quit last year I think.

If he is indeed shopping a book he would have to sensationalize it.
But even so, it would not make much difference.
Only an idiot would believe everything a disgruntled former employee says.

We all know that Paris was little wild during her younger years. Big deal, it’s nothing new.

Jason Moore was neither her rep nor her agent. He was technically only her book keeper.

He did not make Paris and he cannot break her.
This book is just another disgusting attempt to cash in on the Hilton name.

No1, Paris is a Goddess, and we want to know much more about her, her interviews do not tell us much. This book would be good/great. Love you P.

This is just weird. Seems like one can’t trust nobody in that city. But I can’t talk about it’s content unless I know what he’ll talk about, but I’m quite sure he will try to sell the idea that Paris is a closed lesbian.
