About Paris Hilton's new pet piglet
Celeb Career Thermometer: Taylor Swift vs. Paris Hilton

HOT: Taylor Swift to Host SNL
The country cutie and Best Female Video winner is slated to host this week's episode of Saturday Night Live. Swift, 19, who was asked to host the
show over the summer, certainly has plenty of material to draw from when brainstorming skit ideas. "There are definitely some hilarious things that
have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits," she said. Could one of those things be when Kanye
"Foot in Mouth" West interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in September? We're going to go with yes on that one.
Kanye, maybe you should take a page from Palin's book and show up to prove you're a good sport. Because come Monday morning you'll undoubtedly be
the butt of everyone's jokes -- thanks to a "swift" kick from a teenager.

NOT: Paris Gets a Piglet
Paparazzi magnet and PETA offender Paris Hilton will be adding a new member to her ridiculous pet posse -- a pigelette named Princess, of course.
"She's still a baby, so she's with her mom, getting ready for me. She'll be a perfect addition to the family," she told Usmagazine.com. Added
Hilton, "It loves the dogs. They're smarter than dogs!" (And their owners apparently.) After the reality star shelled out 45 hundo for the special
teacup breed, PETA issued a statement calling Hilton a "wretched example" whose pets are "as disposable as her friends and fiances ... The
Chihuahuas, ferrets and kinkajous she's paraded through her home in the past were not accessories, and pot-bellied pigs aren't either." Responded
Hilton, "It's a lot better for the pig to be home with me than be made into bacon." And it would also be a lot better for society for you to keep
your mouth shut.

[However, I wrote and left the following comment, my first-ever comment at the Huffington Post, over 48 hours ago. My comment has yet to be
approved/posted, and at this point I'm not expecting it to be. So I wanted to share it somewhere, besides my MySpace and website blog... Note: There
is a maximum of 168 words to a comment, a limit which mine met.]
I guess 'Girls On Top' does not mean all girls united on top of all guys. There's only so much room at the top. So it's girls on top of the backs
of other girls. It's a girl-eat-girl world.
A girl praising 'country cutie' teen Taylor Swift, while dumping on everyone's, celebrity-death-wished-for favorite, Paris Hilton... It's just
like shooting fish in barrels with both barrels. Can't miss on such safe bets.
Now apparently this is your job Ms. WIlliams, to keep score of which girls do and don't make your top grade. While PETA, a self-realized, high-minded
group, apparently works to glom on the glam of others, all for a bit of fame. Not above stooping to appeal to the lowest, the meanness of the
general-public-party hate-on. Just like everybody else does.
PETA calls Hilton a "wretched example" whose pets are "as disposable as her friends and fiances." Yet PETA's website offers not a single
example, not one story of Paris treating her animals cruelly, or abandoning them. Only a story on how Paris gets it now, how she is openly against the
wearing of fur.
Paris has a rather expansive home and yard, enough space to house her many pets. She brings in a very large income, so she can afford to make sure
they are very well taken care of. She seems to genuinely love animals. And PETA just hates that! Go figure. I know everyone will.

And now for something completely different.
It's...
Something I made just this morning for Halloween fun, for comments for my friends at MySpace...

Thank you as always for sticking up for Paris. Another puffed up hack writer low on ideas (and another jackass nobody that I've have never have
heard of without her bashing Paris in order to appear next to her in print and get some of the residual fame the writer couldn't get on their own
merits). PETA has come after Paris a couple of times and it's absurd. They get on her for not buying pets from shelters (despite the fact that many
others don't either), but when Paris does exactly that and rescues a cat from death, they're probably not interested. The kind of
charities/organisations that tend to attack Paris to make an example of her, usually have their own share of dirty laundry.
BTW, did you see that Ferne Cotton programme about Paris (posted on the site itself)? Avril Lavigne got a little mention when Paris was showing
around her house.

Thanks for the feedback!
My comment won't get posted, and I'll probably get kicked off The Huffington Post for defending Paris.
(I got dumped last fall from Gawker for defending Lindsay Lohan.)
And hey, thanks for the tip.
I'll have to check out that program!
