India gets ready for Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton may be a blonde, but the colour the reality TV star is most associated with is definitely pink. And that’s exactly what the chefs at this city hotel, which will host Hilton from September 24 to 26, kept in mind while preparing some signature dishes for her.

“Since her favourite colour is pink and she is known to be health conscious, we have prepared some pink cupcakes for her, keeping her personality and characteristics in mind,” says Faiek El Saadani, director of food and beverage at the JW Marriott, Mumbai, where Hilton will check in later this month.

Apart from the cupcakes, the chefs at the hotel have also prepared a signature cocktail for the pop icon, which will be available to general customers at all the hotel properties and restaurants as well. When asked to reveal the recipe for the ‘pink’ cocktail, Sadani says with a smile, “It’s a surprise. Everyone’s welcome to try it. It’s simple and has been made using basic ingredients that provide the colour.”

This will be the socialite’s first trip to the country, during which she is expected to launch her line of accessories and handbags. In 2007, she had planned to come to India on her friend, designer Anand Jon’s invitation, but the trip didn’t work out. It was initially reported that filmmaker-host Karan Johar was to interview Hilton for a special episode of his show, Koffee With Karan, though recent news reports claim otherwise.

Pictures of Paris modelling for Anand Jon, back in 2000, shows an unhappy young girl! Paris looked very uncomfortable next to him giving interviews and commenting on her body! ‘Thank god’ Paris did not go to India at this ‘creeps’ request. Take care Paris.

She has it in her to do very well – it’s the Hilton heritage.
