New book on the Hilton family to be released on April 1st

paris hilton“The Hiltons: The True Story of an American Dynasty” is a sweeping saga of the success-and excess-of an iconic American family. Demanding and enigmatic, patriarch Conrad Hilton’s visionary ideas and unyielding will established the model for the modern luxury hotel industry. But outside the boardroom, Conrad struggled with emotional detachment, failed marriages, and conflicted Catholicism. Then there were his children: Playboy Nicky Hilton’s tragic alcoholism and marriage to Elizabeth Taylor was the stuff of tabloid legend. Barron Hilton, on the other hand, deftly handled his father’s legacy, carrying the Hilton brand triumphantly into the new millennium. Eric, raised apart from his older brothers, accepted his supporting role in the Hilton dynasty with calm and quiet-a stark contrast to the boys’ much younger half-sister Francesca, whose battle for recognition led her into courtrooms and conflict. The cast of supporting players includes the inimitable Zsa Zsa Gabor, who was married to Conrad briefly and remained a thorn in his side for decades, and a host of other Hollywood and business luminaries with whom the Hiltons crossed paths and swords over the years.

“The Hiltons: The True Story of an American Dynasty” will be released on Amazon on April 1st.

Afrojack: “Musically [Paris Hilton and I have] taken different paths”

In another interview with Digital Spy, Afrojack suggests that he is no longer working on Paris Hilton’s upcoming music album. He is quoted stating:

“Oh I’ve shut [the new Paris Hilton album] up. That might have come out a bit harsh. I’m still in touch with Paris, but musically we’ve taken different paths. There was so much bulls**t surrounding everything, because she is who she is. I gave her a shot, but eventually, enough is enough.”

Afrojack comments on his relationship with Paris Hilton

Afrojack recently did an interview with PopCrush and was asked a question about his relationship with Paris Hilton.

Question: Do you feel like the media made too much out of your relationship with Paris Hilton? Some of your fans were upset about you producing her album.

Answer: Of course the media makes a big s— out of everything, but you have to imagine: If you have a really good friend and she wants to get into music and she asks you, “Can you help me?” What kind of dick would I be, if I said, “I want to help you but it wouldn’t be good for my brand. I’m not going to help you.” Then you’d be a sellout for not helping your friend and trying to keep the value of your friendship established. And for me, it was the other way around. I thought about it: “Huh. Yeah it could come out really cheesy because you’re helping a pop diva do something with music.” On the other hand, I could also not do it but then you’re just a dick. You’re just a bad person.

20 new tracks recorded for upcoming music album

    Reported by Inquirer

It’s no secret that Paris Hilton loves music—her songs “Stars Are Blind” and “Nothing in This World,” both released in 2006, remain fan favorites.

Late last year, she released the single “Good Time,” a dance track that features rapper Lil Wayne. “I love Lil Wayne, he’s so talented and he’s such a sweet person. He’s so inspiring to be around and I had so much fun working with him,” she said at a press conference last Thursday.

Paris has returned to the recording studio to work on a new album, having recorded 20 tracks so far. “I’ve been in Miami the past weeks finishing up the album. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it. We’ve worked very hard on it. I wrote every song on the album. The music is so much fun and people are really gonna enjoy it.”

The heiress has also launched her career as a DJ, training with Dave Garnish, the British engineer, producer and DJ/promoter who runs Garnish Music Production schools in London and Hollywood. “We’ve been working together the past couple of years. He has really taught me a lot,” she said.

Paris, who arrived in Manila last Monday, thinks her new profession was a natural next step. “I love music, it’s something I really enjoy. I love to have fun, I love clubbing. When I got offered to be a DJ and travel around the world and do huge concerts, it seemed like a perfect thing to do.”

Paris Hilton talks about real estate and DJing in an interview

    Reported by Philippine Daily Inquirer

Philippine Daily Inquirer interviews Paris Hilton in the Philippines:

How involved were you in designing and conceptualizing the beach club?

I was involved every step of the way for the past three years. When I came here, they showed me the different models and what they were doing. And then I went in and brought all my different inspirations and made mood boards and books. I put so much work into this. So to see it actually come to life and be here today is just so incredible.

What makes the Paris Beach Club Paris?

The Paris Beach Club is just very me. If I were to design a property, this is exactly the way it would be, from the way it’s designed to all the amenities, just the vibe of it. It’s just a very fun and exciting place.

What do you love about it?

I love everything about it. I think it’s designed so beautifully, I love all the colors, I love that it’s so modern, just the hallways, how they light up, every detail about it is me. And if I lived in the Philippines, I would definitely live here.

What’s it like working with Century Properties?

I love working with Century Properties. The Antonio family is so kind and so true. They’re so trustworthy. Everything they say, they do. I look forward to doing future projects with them. They really exceeded all my expectations. I had no clue that this property would be so incredible. I can’t wait to work with them on future projects.

Is it true that your DJing mentor is Dave Garnish, the British producer and engineer who runs Garnish Music Production Schools in London and Hollywood?

Yeah, we’ve been working together the past couple of years. He has really taught me a lot. I started off using CDJs and Rekordbox, and then I started doing Ableton and then from there, Serato. And now he’s taught me how to do Traktor S4, this new software which I love, and I’ve learned a lot from him.
