Paris Hilton obsessed with Making A Wish at 11:11?

Reported by the Huffington Post (Todd Van Luling)

Paris Hilton is obsessed with making a wish at “11:11.” She has been tweeting this every couple days since 2009. EVERY COUPLE DAYS SINCE 2009! Here is a look at her most recent instances of this.

Top questions that come to mind:

    • How many wishes have been made on Paris’ suggestion?
    • How many wishes have come true because of Paris Hilton?
    • Does she do this herself every time or does she schedule these tweets?
    • If she does this herself, does she stop what she’s doing at around 11:09/11:10 to make sure she doesn’t miss 11:11?
    • Whyyyy?

“The Bling Ring” makes strong start at box office

    Reported by The Wrap

    The Bling Ring

Writer-director Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring” made off with a strong $210,000 from just five locations in its debut this weekend for distributor A24.

That’s a strong $42,000 per-theater average for the crime comedy, which stars Emma Watson, as well as Taissa Farmiga, Leslie Mann and Kirsten Dunst.

It’s based on the Hollywood Hills Burglar Bunch — aka the Bling Ring — a group of teenagers who pulled off some brazen heists of celebrity homes, including those of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson, Megan Fox and Orlando Bloom, taking up to $3 million worth of goods.

“We are thrilled with the results,” said A24’s Nicolette Aizenberg. “Sofia Coppola’s latest and greatest has certainly entered the zeitgeist and we look forward to capitalizing on this great success as we expand nationwide next weekend.”

It is Coppola’s best opening in a decade. Her “Lost in Translation” took in $40,221 from 23 locations in 2003. And it’s way better than her last film, “Somewhere,” which averaged $17,012 on seven theaters in 2010.

Actor Israel Broussard of “The Bling Ring” comments on Paris Hilton

In an interview with Boston Herald, one of the stars of “The Bling Ring” movie, Israel Broussard, said:

“I’d met [Paris Hilton] before, for her cameo scene in the nightclub. She actually talked ‘normal.’ Then I passed by her filming the behind-the-scenes video and she was talking like the Paris we all know. In her house when you see all these pillows of her face, the magazine covers, the gigantic posters of herself, anybody walking in there would think she’s conceited. But if you were on the cover of a magazine, wouldn’t you want that framed? She’s got a good sense of humor about herself. She goes through a lot of (expletive). If that’s how she wants to feel good about herself, it’s working for her.”
