Paris Hilton may owe $160,000 over Pledge This!

    Reported by the Associated Press

Paris Hilton may owe investors in her 2006 movie “Pledge This!” about $160,000 for failing to do enough promotion.

U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno in Miami ruled Thursday that the 29-year-old celebrity socialite didn’t live up to her contract when refusing interviews with publications in Russia and the United Kingdom.

Hilton’s spokeswoman had no immediate comment.

Moreno preliminarily valued those lost opportunities at $160,000. But the judge wants more information about Hilton’s contract before finalizing the amount. The investors initially wanted $8.3 million.

The judge’s decision follows Hilton’s arrest last weekend in Las Vegas on cocaine possession charges. Hilton told police the small amount of cocaine was not hers.

Did the purse belong to Paris Hilton? just recently posted an exclusive article claiming a picture of the purse that Paris Hilton was carrying on the night of her arrest was posted on her Twitter sometime in mid-July. You can read the article here. Several other non-mainstream news sites picked up the story.

At first, I dismissed the article because RadarOnline didn’t bother posting a picture of Paris’ purse when she got arrested so that I can compare it with the one she posted on Twitter. But then, I decided go on and examine the arrest pictures. And I did find a somewhat blurry picture showing her purse. See the picture here.

So now you can compare it with the Twitter picture.

Many people are saying that Paris said the purse did not belong to her. To be sure, she hasn’t personally said that on her Twitter or to the media, nor do we have a video of her saying it. However, according to a police report, she told police “the purse was not hers, and that she had borrowed it from a friend.” When asked whose cocaine it was, ”she said she had not seen it but now thought it was gum.” This report was written by Las Vegas police Lt. Dennis Flynn.

But according to TMZ, she later told her friends that one of her friends recently borrowed the purse and might have placed the cocaine inside. It was reported that she said: ”I had no idea the cocaine was there. I swear on my life.”

Paris Hilton is still welcomed at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel

    Reported by

Although her cocaine arrest got Paris Hilton banned from the Wynn and Encore hotels, she can always count on a room at one Las Vegas resort.

“She has been a guest here many, many times and we would always welcome her back,” says Las Vegas Hilton spokesman Ken Ciancimino.

Along with being blackballed from the Steve Wynn-owned properties, nightlife insiders say she’ll find it hard to get pay-to-party bookings at nightclubs.

Not so at her namesake hotel.

“The history between Paris and this property is long, indeed,” the Hilton spokesman says. “We here at the Hilton certainly wish Paris the best and hope that she gets through any and all of her difficult times.”

Paris Hilton turns down offers and spends time with family

    Reported by E! Online

Highly photographed heiress Paris Hilton isn’t ready for any close-ups right now—she’s laying low at her home in L.A. since her arrest in Vegas last Friday.

“She’s devastated,” a source close to Paris tells me about the incident.

So far, the only people she’s been spending time with since her return are boyfriend Cy Waits and her family.

“We’re all hoping people will truly take seriously that she’s innocent until proven guilty,” another source tells E! News.

Despite reports that the heiress has been blackballed from Vegas after her arrest, a source says her manager is fielding requests for her to host Labor Day parties this weekend for more than $100,000.

“They’re trying to capitalize on press from the situation, but she’s turning them all down and staying at home with Cy, her family and her pets,” the source tells us.

And Paris isn’t assuming she’ll get off on probation for the felony charge if indicted, given her previous 23-day stint in jail when an L.A. judge seemed intent on making an example of her.

“She’s taking this very seriously,” the source says.

Paris Hilton officially banned from Wynn and Encore hotels

    Reported by the Associated Press

A casino official says celebrity socialite Paris Hilton has been banned from two Wynn resorts on the Las Vegas Strip and her boyfriend has been dismissed as nightclub manager following their arrests.

Wynn spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne said Wednesday that Hilton won’t be allowed at the properties anymore.

Dunne also says Cy Waits has been “separated” from his job as managing partner of the Tryst Nightclub at Wynn and XS The Nightclub at Encore.

Hilton was arrested Friday for investigation of felony cocaine possession, and Waits was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence.

Police say a bag containing 0.8 of a gram of cocaine fell from a purse carried by Hilton when she reached for lip balm. She says it was not her purse.

Michael Boychuck comments more on Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton’s hair stylist Michael Boychuck who has known her for 18 years told Radar Online:

Paris and I have been texting since her arrest. Poor girl; my heart goes out to her and I feel bad about what happened. She told me the cocaine they found did not belong to her. She expressed to me that her career is very important and she would never do drugs or anything else for that matter to destroy what she’s worked so hard for.

I’ve known Paris for 18 years and can honestly say I’ve never seen her use drugs. She’s a sweet, hard-working girl and unfortunately she’s in a bad position right now. But she will be fine and these bogus charges will be dropped.

She’s had a rough August. As you know, some guy was stalking her and tried to break into her house. She said she was very scared and thankful her boyfriend Cy was there. She told me he went downstairs with a gun, pinned the guy down and called the cops. I’m glad he was there. What a hero he is. Otherwise, it would have been tragic.
