    Reported by Kyiv Post

Paris Hilton will first visit Ukraine on September 3, when the 29-year-old celebrity will be a member of the jury of the 20th Miss Ukraine beauty contest 2010, which will be held in Ukraine Palace on September 4.

The owner of the contest – businessman Oleksandr Onyschenko –invited Hilton to Ukraine, the Segodnya newspaper informed on Tuesday. The size of her fee is secret.

Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, actress Eva Longoria, niece of Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace Francesca Versace, singer and composer Chris Norman and other celebrities will also attend the Miss Ukraine 2010 contest.

The organizers said that at the moment they are choosing in which suit of the prestigious Kyiv-based hotel Intercontinental the U.S. guest will be accommodated.

“This can be an ambassadorial suite or even more expensive royal or presidential suit. They said at the hotel that they want to accommodate her in the best one, probably presidential, if it is not occupied by a VIP at that moment,” the newspaper said, citing the organizers.

In addition, a personal butler, free bar and an elevator will be placed at Hilton’s disposal. She also required security: four bodyguards will escort Hilton in Kyiv.

The organizers also said that the celebrity will not limit herself to only an afterparty at a night club in Kyiv, where she will perform her recent hits, the socialite will “hang out all night long.”

Hilton also intends to familiarize herself with the main sights of Kyiv during her visit. Her sightseeing tour will include Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, the Monument to the Founders of Kyiv and the embankment. The same sightseeing tour was recently organized for actor Sylvester Stallone who presented his new film “The Expendables” in Kyiv.

“I’ve pretty much done all you can do, but my next project that I’d like to do is get more involved in real estate – just from being in the business and growing up in it my whole life, it’s always something I’ve been interested in.”

“And right now that I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do, that would definitely be the next step, to open my own hotels.”

Paris Hilton rep: Hairtech lawsuit is without merits

    Reported by the Associated Press

Paris Hilton’s lawyers have said a $35 million lawsuit against the heiress lacks merit and vowed to put forward a spirited defence and a possible counter suit.

The 29-year-old socialite was sued in Los Angeles for allegedly breaching a contract to promote and wear hair extensions manufactured by Hairtech International. The company is seeking $35 million in damages, 10 times what it paid Hilton for her endorsement.

Spokeswoman Dawn Miller said Hilton’s lawyers have decided the lawsuit is without merits.

“There is no merit whatsoever to any of these claims. We will pursue all of our defenses vigorously and any potential counter claims,” she said in a statement.

Hairtech claimed Hilton did not wear the company’s extensions as promised and missed a launch party in 2007 because she was in jail.

It claims the damages from the missed appearance were at least $6.6 million.

Hilton served 23 days in jail in 2007 after she was caught driving twice on a suspended license while on probation for reckless driving.

A jury or judge will decide whether Hilton owes Hairtech any money if the case goes to trial.
