Second Anniversary of Debut Album “Paris”

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO “PARIS”

Today is the second anniversary of a special music album called “Paris” It was released on August 22, 2006, and since then, it has remained as the greatest Paris Hilton project! What made the album so special and unique is that everything about it was perfect, in my opinion! A rarity in today’s music world!

Summer 2006 is forever burned in my mind, too! I remember the Hollywood forum! It was the place to be for all news about the debut album. Fun and memorable times!

And of course, the launch and promotion of “Paris” was phenomenal, and for this year, I’ve decided to release a couple of video coverages done by our media friends/enemies. I hope you enjoy watching them!

British version of ParisBFF will be filmed

    Confirmed Report

It is true that there will be a British version of Paris Hilton’s new reality show. You can now ask for an applicaton form by sending an email to paris@itv.com before September 1st. You have to be between 18 and 28 years old.

The British version of the show will air on ITV2 channel. By the way, the premiere of the US version has been postponed to September 30th.

Like in the US version, she will attempt to find a British best friend. Here’s a description of the show: “The show will follow the captivating Ms Hilton as she flies to the UK for an intensive search for a new friend she can depend on. Viewers will get a candid insight into her manic world, and they’ll also get to know the real Paris.

Paris said: “Everyone knows I love LA. But London, watch out – I’m coming to town and bringing my fast-paced life with me. I’m in the UK all the time, but of course I can’t bring all my friends, so I’ve decided to look for a new BFF across the pond. I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me, and most of all, who is real and won’t be a backstabber. I’m not leaving London until I find that amazing girl or guy who can meet the challenges of being my British bestie!

You know I’m not a huge fan of this new reality show concept, but I know the show can find success with the general public. I don’t know, I just hope it will focus more on Paris. And I’m not into the partying, fashion, red carpet thing. That’s just me, but a show like this can be a hit with the public.

I hope some of the UK fans from this site will apply, too! For more info, click here.

A new documentary about Paris Hilton: “Paris, Not France”

A new documentary about Paris Hilton will be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival in September: “Paris, Not France.” This doesn’t appear to be like any of those lousy and bias documentaries about Paris that we see all the time. Here’s a little description about it:

Controversy next month, when the director Adria Petty screens her debut at the Toronto film festival. She spent a year with Paris Hilton, and the result, Paris, Not France, is not what Hilton’s people had hoped for. Instead, it is a rather brilliant exposé. Did you know, for instance, that Paris has a very deep voice, is frequently in tears and doesn’t like being a celebrity as much as you might think, and is actually quite a sweetie? No, nor did I.

I think this documentary is supposed to be released worldwide, later on, but I’m not sure. Here’s another interesting description:

Polls show that in certain demographics, more people identify the name Paris with “Hilton” than with “France.” Gaining intimate access to the glamorous and chaotic day-to-day life of one of the world’s biggest icons, director Adria Petty explores the businesswoman and the human being behind the public persona that is Paris Hilton. Modelled after the 1960s “it”-girl film Darling, and featuring additional interviews with Hilton’s family and friends, as well as media experts ranging from Donald Trump to tabloid columnist Richard Johnson, Paris, Not France attempts to explore the Paris phenomenon and how it defines this moment in culture.

The director Adria Petty spent a lot of time with Paris to film the documentary. She started working on it during the making of Paris’ debut album. She’s the one who filmed the Jealousy video clip. In Paris’ album notes, Paris thanked her: “To Adria Petty for always being honest with me and making history.”

Unfortunately, at the moment, there’s not a lot of infomation about “Paris, Not France” on the internet, which is kind of weird.

As for Paris, her popularity and brand is growing bigger every day! I think things are going to change in the world of Paris Hilton. The parody clip has made people talk about her for a while! I know big projects are lined-up, but the new album and TV show are supposed to be out in about a month. I have a feeling that the album will be postponed! I’m worried, because a new single hasn’t even been released yet!

Oh yeah, I found a new article about the debut album. It reveals a lot of information that I had never heard about before. You guys should definitely take some time to read it. It’s a very interesting read. It was written in April 2006. By the way, the second anniversary of the debut album is almost here!

Anyway, we have to keep a close eye on the new documentary! In another news, Paris’ new handbag collection will be launched at Manchester and Hamburg airports. They will sell handbags that are more suited for travellers, I think. Each bag costs about 900$.

Finally, the president of National Lampoon, the company behind “Pledge This!”, said that the lawsuit has nothing to do with them: “This lawsuit is completely independent of our studio and company and is by no means a reflection of our views. Paris Hilton has fulfilled and surpassed all of National Lampoon’s expectations, she is a remarkable person and talent and we are all strong supporters of her Presidential campaign!”

Possibly the media pressured them to say a couple of comments about the lawsuit.

I wrote this post for the second time after the first one, which was longer, got accidentally deleted!

    Lawsuit exceeds $75 000

Yesterday, the Associated Press reported that Paris Hilton was being sued for 75 000$ by Worldwide Entertainment Group, but this information is incorrect.

Attorney Michael Goldberg, who has filed suit against Paris Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment, is seeking millions of dollars in lost profit over the lack of promotion by Paris.

Goldberg states that Paris didn’t honor her contract: “We are seeking our lost profits, which we believe to be in the millions of dollars. Hilton failed to attend any talk shows or telephonic or in-person interviews.”

The lawsuit was filed  in U.S. District Court in Miami. Read more here.

Well, the media is trying to get some comments from Paris’ team regarding the lawsuit, but they haven’t responded. I can’t believe this is happening over some ridiculous movie. I doubt that Pledge This! would’ve been a success even if Paris had massively promoted it. That’s just my opinion and of course, these not real arguments against the lawsuit.

Also, earlier this week, there were certain rumours/articles claiming that Paris broke up with Benji Madden. I was shocked (but not surprised) to see this story appear in my local newspaper. It was funny, because a few days later, new pictures of Paris and Benji together appeared on the internet.

This latest lawsuit story also spread quite fast. Yesterday, someone asked me if the break-up story was true. Today, someone else asked me about the lawsuit story. This just shows that negative articles gain more attention than positive ones. And it’s incredible how fast negative articles spread and how everyone hears/read about them!

Paris Hilton sued for not having promoted “Pledge This!”

A very interesting article appeared on the internet earlier today. This is no fake news. It was published by the Associated Press.

Paris Hilton is being sued for 75 000$ by the makers of her 2006 movie “Pledge This!” for not fulfilling promotional obligations. The movie had a limited release, but then, it quickly went direct to video as it flopped in theatres. It managed to gain 1 000 000$ in DVD sales. I think the movie cost more than 5 000 000$ to produce.

According to Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc., Paris was paid 1 000 000$ for her acting services and for reasonable promotion and publicity for the movie. You guys, this is stupid. I’ll explain why later.

Before the movie was released, Paris tried to boycott it because she didn’t want any nude scenes in the movie. The producers probably thought that adding nudity would attract a bigger audience.

Here’s the thing: Maybe Paris didn’t fulfill her engagement, but in all honesty, the movie didn’t even deserve any promotion or success. Afterall, it was an unfunny, crappy and forgettable movie. I think I fast forward the movie while watching it because it was so bad and boring. It was just an unwatchable movie, unfortunately.

In a sense, I’m glad that Paris didn’t properly promote this movie. I say whatever, it’s better to get sued than to shoved junk down our throats. Sorry, if this seems harsh, but it is my opinion regarding “Pledge This!” Same thing applies to “Bottom’s Up” (another very unwatchable movie!), but NOT to the “Hottie and the Nottie” and “Repo!”
