Paris Hilton Celebrates Memorial Day

Everyone appreciates a good barbecue — even more when it’s Paris Hilton one heatin’ up the hotdogs!

The sullied socialite had her closest friends over to her pad for a Memorial Day BBQ yesterday, with guests ranging from “Simple Life” co-star and on-again BFF Nicole Richie, to MTV VJ turned D-Lister Simon Rex.

Paris was quiet around cameras when she appeared at her front door for an American flag-hanging photo op, though Rex told photogs the jail-bound blonde is “doing good.”

Other guests included Paris’ sis Nicky, Brandon “Greasy Bear” Davis, Keisha Cole, director Brett Ratner and the possibly newly engaged Elisha Cuthbert.

Jail Sentence Will Either Do Good Or Bad According To Paris Hilton’s Friends

Paris Hilton will lose weight and look more beautiful after she goes to prison, her friends claim.

Pals of the hotel heiress, who has been sentenced to 23 days in jail for driving with a suspended licence believe Paris’ imprisonment will be good for her. Fashion designer Alvin Valley, a good friend of the socialite, said, “Prison will be the best thing that ever happened to Paris Hilton.”

Another pal said, “It’s going to make her more famous than ever. In jail, she’s going to get enviably skinny, and without any make-up or products her hair and skin will finally be able to breathe, so they’ll look amazing, too.” However, not everybody believes Paris’ prison term will be beneficial to her.

Writer David Patrick Columbia, a close friend of the Hilton family is worried her incarceration will ruin the 26-year-old star’s career. He said, “Drunk-driving is a serious crime. People die from it. Jail is a whole other ball game from the soap opera we’ve enjoyed watching up until now. I think we could be witnessing the end of Paris Hilton.”

I’m not 100% sure if this article is fake or not, but still it is fair and makes sense.

I agree with Valley, and I have to say if it will gain Paris more fans, then I’ll be happy!

It’s somewhat true, though! This jail sentence will do her a lot of good, and it will be more like a break for her. I still think 7-10 would be enough.

David Patrick Columbia’s comments are a bit worriesome, but I highly doubt it will mean the end of her career. Paris has said to the public that she disapproves drink and driving, so that should be no problem.

On the contrary, if Paris decides to change herself, many people will start taking her seriously. She has the opportunity, but is she will to work harder?

Paris Hilton’s Aunt Offers Her Some Jail Advice

Socialite Paris Hilton has been offered advice on how to cope with life in prison from her jailed aunt.

The hotel heiress has to report to Los Angeles’ Century Regional Detention Center by 5 June (07) to start serving her sentence for violating her probationfollowing her 2006 drink-driving arrest.

And the reality TV star has been offered advice from her aunt – her mother’s half sister Elizabeth Avanzino – who recently completed her fifth stint in prison.

Avanzino says she wants to “lend a supportive role to Paris and let her realise everyone is capable of making mistakes”.

She tells the New York Post, “I used to own an art gallery. Then I relapsed on alcohol, and I started to do other things.

“I don’t want anything from (the Hiltons). Paris does have a lot of issues, and I just want them to come up just to talk.

“She’s a person, she makes mistakes, but I think this goes deeper. People need to know their roots.

“I have always admired her but never pursued her or my other half-niece (Nicky Hilton). I would love to get to know them.”

    E! Promotes Simple Life 5

If you happened to be at the beach over the holiday weekend and thought you saw celebutantes Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie parading around sedan-style in a canoe, you weren’t hallucinating.

To promote the next installment of E! reality series The Simple Life, which premieres May 28, the cable network deployed doppelgangers of Hilton and Richie around outdoor areas in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

As in the print, online and outdoor ads for the show’this time set at a summer camp’the ersatz Paris and Nicole were hoisted aloft in their canoe by a couple of buff beefcakes in swimsuits. Given Hilton’s imminent engagement at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, Calif., for violating her probation over a DUI incident, you’d think E! would shy away from any promotion that may conjure the phrase “going up the river.”

Apparently not. According to Suzanne Kolb, executive VP of marketing and communications at E! Networks, on-air spots might even poke fun at the star’s predicament, urging viewers to watch The Simple Life “no matter where you’re spending your summer.

Entertainment Tonight Interviews Paris Hilton And Nicole Richie

The heiress fills Cojo in on her no-frills camping experience on the “The Simple Life Goes to Camp.”
Before PARIS HILTON heads off to jail to serve a minimum 23-day sentence for breaking her probation, the heiress joined pal NICOLE RICHIE and roughed it in the wilds of Malibu as camp counselors.

On Monday night, “The Simple Life Goes to Camp” premiered on E!, so naturally, we sent our own happy camper, STEVEN COJOCARU, to chat with the duo about life without cell phones or air conditioning.

“I want to know how raw this was, how stripped down!” Cojo said.

“We roughed it as much as possible,” Nicole said. “It was freezing. We were in cabins that had no heat, no air conditioning, nothing.”

Paris says the worst part was that Camp Shawnee in the Malibu mountains had almost no cell-phone reception.

“We’d have to do a hike to actually find the cell phone zones,” she said. “It was pretty brutal. I don’t know what I’d do without my Blackberry.”

Adds Nicole, “We would literally be, like, waving around our Blackberries, climbing trees, jumping up in the air, trying to get some sort of reception.”

However, the two said they also got to wear sweatsuits, unlike in previous seasons. But they still indulged in a few pet luxuries, such as designer stiletto heels.

“This one was in six-inch CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS,” Paris said of Nicole.

“All my shoes are either heels or ballet flats!” Nicole protested. “That’s the only shoe that I have. I wear Loubs every day. When I realized that it wasn’t solid ground there, I didn’t know what to do. It’s just part of what I wear.”

Sounds like she’s a natural for “Pageant Camp.” As part of the show, the camp is broken down into five themes: Pageant Camp, Couples Camp, Survival Camp, Drama Camp and Wellness Camp. Monday’s episode showed the girls counseling and helping to give high colonics to obese individuals at the adult Wellness Camp.

“Life” doesn’t get much rougher than that!

“The Simple Life Goes to Camp” airs on the E! Network at 10 p.m. on Sundays.

Shanna Moakler Opens Her Mouth Again Against Paris Hilton And Lindsay Lohan

That ever-ready advice bunny, Shanna Moakler, has moved on from Paris Hilton to Lindsay Lohan. La Lohan is no doubt thanking Shanna Moakler for the helpful advice she dispenses this morning on her MySpace page, namely …

When you [sic] making 8 million dollars a film … HIRE A DRIVER!!

Other than that, Moakler mainly goes off on yet another rant against Lohan (and fellow celebutard Paris HIlton), (edited) saying that she doesn’t “feel bad for people who play the victim constantly and are from from it.” She screeches that the posse is going “down one by one” and entering “jail or rehab.” She can’t resist taking another shot at mortal enemy Paris Hilton, saying, “Karma will be the day she’s married and has kids and her husband goes and f**ks a 22 yr old and knocks her up.” That’s classy advice from the Dear Abby of the tattooed set!

Still, says Shanna, ultimately, “I don’t really think anything of it.” She made that clear.

Shanna is very wrong when she writes “Karma will be the day she’s married and has kids and her husband goes and f**ks a 22 yr old and knocks her up” because clearly, Paris would never marry such a guy. I think she thinks that way of Paris, but I know that Paris is very careful, which is one of the reasons why she has broken up with many guys.

But really? Should I continue posting the comments of this old woman who is married and has kids?

I mean who the hell does she thinks she is talking like that about Paris and Lindsay! And I’m shocked to see that many of fans approve of her behavior and see nothing wrong.

A very jealous and hateful woman, indeed!

    Great Simple Life 5 Debut

The premiere of Simple Life 5 was definitely a good and funny one.

    Spoilers ahead!

I think many of Paris and Nicole’s hardcore fans will easily recognize what we’ve seen from Paris and Nicole since season four. The beginning of Simple Life 5 shows everything that we already know. I really enjoyed it though. It’s really good to see that it kicks off from where it left from last season (the …to be continued part). It is intense and very interesting! Maybe they should have shown it last season?

Anyway, I really liked it when they showed scenes of Paris and Britney Spears together and partying. Remember those days? That was back in November!

Of course, the beginning is scripted, but that’s no problem because scripted or not, the Simple Life is always good!

I think it’s worth to point out that everything they show about Paris and Nicole’s reconciliation is how it really happened between the two. Paris called Nicole, made up and then, went to dinner together! It was a good idea to redo it for the show. By the way, Paris and Nicole look gorgeous. Despite all the weight loss drama, Nicole still looks good in my opinion.

The new theme is excellent! I knew the song would be good and as I said before, I like it. They’ve also slightly “modernized” the show, and it reminds me of “Simple Life 3,” which is nice.

I think the scenes at the camp are well done overall. Not super-hilarious, but good enough to keep you entertain throughtout. As usual, Nicole is the outrageous one, and Paris is the “cute” one. A lot of people don’t know that they both play very different roles, so it’s worth to point this out.

I’m not sure if the fake relationship between Paris and the Hunter Cross guy is such a good idea, but I found it funny. Judging from the family they’re staying with and the cast, this should be a great season. I’m sure it will be a lot more like season one and a lot less like that terrible season four!
