Hilton gets probation; DUI incident is finally over

    By Dan Whitcomb

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton was sentenced to three years probation on Monday after pleading no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving stemming from a September arrest in Hollywood.

Hilton, who was not in court and entered the plea through her attorneys, was also fined $390 and ordered to attend an alcohol-education program by a Los Angeles judge. In California a no contest plea is the legal equivalent of pleading guilty.

“I just spoke with her and she’s happy that the matter is over,” Hilton’s spokesman, Elliott Mintz, said after the hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The 25-year-old socialite and reality TV star was originally charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol level over California’s legal limit of .08.

She pleaded no contest to the lesser charge under a plea agreement with prosecutors and can reduce her probation by a year if she completes 40 hours of community service, Los Angeles City Attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan said.

“We felt that this deal was appropriate given the circumstances and we’re satisfied with the outcome,” Mateljan said. Those circumstances included Hilton’s blood-alcohol level, which was the minimum level required for charges.

Hilton, who had a hit single last summer with “Stars Are Blind,” was stopped by police in Hollywood at around 1 a.m. on September 7 for driving erratically in her silver Mercedes and was arrested after failing a sobriety test.

She later told KIIS-FM radio in Los Angeles that she had been to a fund-raising party after a long day shooting a music video and had just one drink.

“I had one margarita (and) was starving because I had not eaten all day. Maybe I was speeding a little bit and I got pulled over,” Hilton told the radio station.

“I was just really hungry and I wanted to have an In-N-Out Burger,” she said, referring to the popular, California-based fast-food chain.

The plea and sentencing came on the same day that a new Paris Hilton line of pet accessories and apparel was announced under the Little Lily brand.

It looks like Paris got a fair deal and will hopefully learn from her mistakes. Finally, it’s over.

Has Paris Hilton Damaged Her Eyelids?

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton reportedly visited a plastic surgeon in Los Angeles earlier this week in a bid to fix her ‘drooping’ left eyelid. The 25-year-old was allegedly left with muscle damage in her left eye after a botched eyelid lift operation six years ago, and the damage has reportedly been worsened by her fondness for wearing blue-tinted contact lenses over her naturally brown eyes. A source tells PageSix.com, “(Her eyes) have been drying out lately. She is ignoring doctors’ orders to not wear her tinted contacts.”

However, Hilton’s representative Elliot Mintz denies the rumors, insisting, “To the best of my knowledge, Paris has never had any kind of cosmetic surgery and has not mentioned any medical procedures having to do with her eyes.”

    ————-

Some people call it her “lazy” eye, but actually, there are fans who like it and she stands out.

Normally, we shouldn’t pay much attention to PageSix.com’s articles since they’re full of lies, but we still can’t know for sure. We’re more inclined to listen to what Elliot Mintz has to say nowadays.

    Lily Allen ALERT

Lily Allen has, yet, again used Paris Hilton’s name and continues to whine to the media. This time actually she’s whining against the media because they ban her for swearing on air, which is pretty funny.

Note that this is the third time she has mentionned her name since the release of her new album.

“It’s really depressing. But there’s only so much I can say about those people. They’re not going to stop until people stop buying it or watching it on TV. The guys that are controlling those TV stations will ban you for swearing. I’ve been banned from certain channels for swearing, yet they’ll let people like Paris Hilton and Pussycat Dolls go on there gyrating themselves up against a pole. I’m sorry, but you think a young child is going to grow up quicker because they hear the word ‘f**k’. I don’t think so.”

Paris Hilton is Working on her Acting Career

Paris Hilton is really taking her acting career very seriously. As you may have already noticed, there hasn’t been a lot of news about her in recent days. That’s because she isn’t going out a lot, and is actually, working on her new comedy movie “The Hottie and the Nottie.”

According to TMZ, the actress spent about 10 hours filming in south of Los Angeles for the new movie.

It’s really time for her to end the long break she has had since the release of her music album and work again on her career.

    Paris Heads To The Opera

VIENNA, Austria (January 17, 2007) — Each year, wealthy Austrian businessman Richard Lugner invites a celebrity to be his guest at Vienna’s exclusive Opera Ball.

This year, Lugner and his wife will be accompanied by Paris Hilton, the 74-year-old real estate and construction mogul said at a news conference Wednesday.

The 25-year-old socialite/actress/singer will travel to the Austrian capital with her parents and three girlfriends, Lugner was quoted as saying by the Austria Press Agency.

His past ball guests include Carmen Electra, Pamela Anderson, Andie MacDowell, Geri Halliwell and Grace Jones.

The Opera Ball, which will take place on Feb. 15 this year, is attended by Austria’s politicians, socialites and foreign dignitaries. Tickets for the event, which is broadcast live on national television, are extremely hard to come by and sell out months ahead of time.

Fred Khalilian, Owner of Club Paris, Whines about Paris again / Paris Getting Sued?

Well, it is no surprise and we expected him to make another negative comment about Paris. It’ll definitely not be the last one. He will use her now as much as he can.

It seems that Fred doesn’t understand that Paris is moving on bigger projects now, and that she doesn’t have time for him. It’s really a problematic situation that both of them have been in for while, but he did fire her.

In another news, model-producer Zeta Graff still wants to sue Paris for 10 million dollars damages over a fake story. We thought this issue was already solved and Paris and her made peace. And now they’re asking a videotape from Fred. Well, read the rest of the news yourself, but don’t expect much. It comes from a very unreliable source.

Washington: Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been sued by model-producer Zeta Graff for slander.

Fred Khalilian, the owner of Club Paris, has revealed that he has been asked by the court to give a videotaped deposition in the case.

Hilton is due in court on February 5, where the 10-million dollars lawsuit has been filed against her.

The club had reportedly told the press that Graff attacked Paris at a “London nightclub and tried to rip off Hilton’s $4 million necklace.”

Graff however, is insisting that the whole story has been fabricated.

“I was served to give a deposition concerning the Zeta Graff, Paris Hilton Case. I am really not playing a role in this. I guess this about one person who has a problem with another person and they are going to ask me about certain things and I am just going to go up there and tell the truth and nothing but the truth,” Idontlikeyouthatway.com quoted Khalilian as saying.

He had criticized Hilton for her selfish character last week also.

“The problem is when she is done with you, she chews you and spits you out. When she is done with you’re out. The people around her get so star struck because she is so powerful presentation wise,” he said. (ANI)
