TMZ claims Paris Hilton was in on plane crash prank

    Reported by LA Times

Paris Hilton may have been privy to Egyptian television host Ramez Galal’s crashing plane prank, despite reports to the contrary.

“The Simple Life” alum was rumored to be considering legal action against the prankster and the creators of his MBC prank show “Ramez in Control” (“Ramez Wakel El-Gaw”) in which she appeared to believe that she was in mortal danger during a turbulent 15-minute aerial tour of Dubai.

However, TMZ, which obtained a document prepared by the Egyptian production company, said Thursday that the hotel heiress was among the numerous celebrities they reached out to in March to participate in the hoax, offering a large sum of money to the participant.

The document reportedly laid out what would happen during the prank, including acting as if something has gone wrong and having skydivers jump from the aircraft while cameras “monitor the funny reactions from our celebrity guest when they fear jumping off the plane.”

Incidentally, the site on Wednesday said that Hilton was looking into suing Galal & Co. for emotional distress she experienced during the stunt.

TMZ initially reported that Hilton was furious over the prank and has been too afraid to fly anywhere. The report said at the time that neither she nor anyone from her team was involved in its orchestration.

“Scariest moment of my life. I really believed the plane was going to crash & we were all going to die,” Hilton tweeted about it over the weekend. The reality star was said to be in the UAE for the opening of a hotel, but it’s unclear when the prank was shot.

Footage from the episode showed the seemingly genuinely panicked socialite crying and screaming for her life along with several other wailing passengers while the plane appeared to nose-dive and nearly crash into the water several times. Galal was seated beside her and fueled the chaos while trying to protect Hilton. At one point, the back of the aircraft opened and someone jumped out.

After the plane finally landed, the host revealed to the distraught starlet that it was a just a “prank show” and that she and everybody were fine — including the guy who jumped out. Apparently Galal has pulled the prank on a few occasions.

Though the 34-year-old laughed off the hoax at the end of the episode, she said that dying on a plane had been her life’s fear.

“This is taking it to another level,” she told Galal. “I’ve seen ‘Punk’d.’ You guys put me in a plane and almost killed me. … This is definitely crazier than anything I’ve ever been in in my entire life.”

A rep for Hilton did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment.

Paris Hilton to sue Egyptian TV show over plane crash prank?

    Reported by CBS News

Paris Hilton is reportedly preparing to sue an Egyptian TV show for “emotional distress” after the crew played a cruel trick on her, staging a horrifying plan crash as she flew over Dubai, TMZ reports.

A video went viral this week of the starlet leaving an event and boarding a tiny private plane. Hilton first remarks about a nasty smell in the cabin, and then is soon flung into an hysterical state as the tiny private plane was made to seem like it lost engine power and nosedived towards water. The crew, including the host of the Egyptian TV show “Ramez in Control” sitting next to Hilton, staged total chaos for ten minutes as Hilton showed genuine fear and tears, screaming repeatedly “no!” and “what is happening?!”

In the midst of the chaos, a flight attendant even opened a door and dragged a man by the ankles before shoving him off the plane for no apparent reason as Hilton watched in sheer terror.

As the plane nearly skims water the “Ramez in Control” host next to Hilton tells her that she is going to have to swim, to which she says “but I don’t want to jump;” he then holds her head between her knees as the plane lands on a tiny strip of land.

Hilton, 34, told TMZ that the actual situation in the plane was even more terrifying than what is seen in the video and that neither she nor anyone in her camp knew about the stunt. Sources said she was “totally freaked out” and that she plans to sue for “emotional distress,” and that her anxiety about flying is significantly exacerbated.

Although reportedly furious about the traumatizing prank, Hilton managed to put on a well-received performance as a singer and DJ at Summerfest in Milwaukee, and she even posted selfies from her her calm and comfortable airplane to Milwaulkee.

Kathy Hilton slams Paris Hilton plane crash prank

    Reported by ET Online

“No one loves a prank more than me; I don’t find cruel pranks entertaining at all,” Kathy exclusively tells ET.

The YouTube video of the prank — shot for Ramez Galal’s show Ramez In Control — surfaced on Saturday, showing Paris going on what she thought was a 15-minute tour of Dubai.

During the flight, the plane takes a nosedive, sending the passengers — all in on the joke except Paris, some even skydiving out of the plane — into hysterics. When the plane lands safely, Paris is visibly shaken and concerned about the other passengers. After she realizes it was all fake, Paris reveals that flying is her biggest fear.

“I almost thought I was going to die,” Paris said. “That’s been my biggest fear my whole life — dying in a plane. I fly almost every day of my life … I’ve never had turbulence like that in my life. I thought we were going to land in the water, and I thought we were going to get thrown off the plane. I’m shaking.”

After the video posted, Paris tweeted her thoughts, writing, “Scariest moment of my life. I really believed the plane was going to crash and we were all going to die.”

Video: Full episode of Paris Hilton being pranked on Arab TV show “Ramez Wakel el-Gaw”

    Reported by GossipCop

Paris Hilton was the victim of an awful, incredibly stupid prank that was shared on YouTube Friday. In the video, Hilton is on board a flight and made to believe the plane is crashing. You can watch below, but fair warning: It’s disturbing.

The clip is from the Arab show “Ramez in Control,” also known as “Ramez Wakel el-Gaw,” which is hosted by Egyptian TV personality Ramez Galal. It was filmed in Dubai, where Hilton often travels for a business and pleasure. The socialite is initially seen arriving at a red carpet event, supposedly for a hotel’s grand opening, where she is apparently unaware that her handler is wearing an ear piece in which Galal is giving instructions for what Hilton should be goaded into doing.

She is eventually invited onto a jet, believing she and other guests are going on a 15-minute aerial tour of the city. After takeoff, the pilot begins doing stunts in the air that make it seem like the plane is plummeting, and alarms inside the cabin start going off. As one might expect in that situation, Hilton begins freaking out.

The star cries and screams as chaos erupts, and she’s made to think her only option is to jump out of the plane, and then led to believe they’ll land in water. After a number of terrifying minutes, the flight safely comes to a stop on the runway. It’s only after Hilton gets off, still crying, that she’s told it was all a prank.

Understandably, Hilton is not only stunned, she’s also quite pissed. And Galal is actually happy at her reaction, exclaiming that they “succeeded.” Hilton has never made mention of the stunt on social media, but the footage was reportedly able to air because she had signed a consent form before the charade began.
