About The Paris Hilton And 50 Cent “Incident”

Haters were cheering loud today about an incident that never happened. Some dimwit was posting all over the TMZ boards complaining that TMZ was censoring the news.

The story is that Paris Hilton started crying when 50 Cent yelled at her: “Get the f**k off the stage.” According to Page Six, the source of the news, Paris then complained: “But it’s my party.” They posted a picture of Paris supposedly crying, next to the article.

They also found a tricky way to prevent the haters from questioning the story. They wrote: “Her entourage swarmed the fotogs so they couldn’t document the embarrassing belittlement but PageSix.com was there.” Well, Page Six, so were many more people… who never saw it happen or filmed it.

And Page Six is also quite clever. Since they know that Paris and 50 Cent might be seen and photographed together one day, they added: “For the record Paris and 50 are still good friends.”

Now I’ll tell the real story and how the fake one was fabricated.

First, Page Six was able to capture of a bad picture of Paris that looked like she was crying. At the party, at the 944 Super Village, Paris, halfway through 50 Cent’s performance, made a cameo and started dancing with 50 Cent. There were plenty of cellphones and video cameras capturing pictures and filming both of them on stage.

At some point, 50 Cent joked to Paris: “Get off my cameras!” Not “Get the f**k off the stage” as Page Six reported. The true story was reported by the Associated Press.

That’s what inspired them to write a fake story and make it seem real. The “But it’s my party!” quote was invented and is so obviously not something that Paris wouldn’t say.

Oh, by the way, don’t forget to watch the David Letterman interview tonight! More videos on the way!

admin,

I saw the page six pics. It was actually a series of pics, not just one bad pic. She definitely was crying. Why, I don’t know, but it wasn’t one bad pic? I think the 50 cent telling her to get off the stage is bogus, but, while not throwing a boo hoo pound your fists on the stage crying tantrum, she was clearly crying for some reason. It’s some spin from her camp that it’s a bad pic.

David,

Can you post a link to the pictures, because I couldn’t find them. On all websites, there was only this picture and rest, she seemed to be happy and having a good time.

I can’t find the full set anymore. Besides pics 1-5, here’s what they have left. She wasn’t throwing a tantrum, but she was upset and the pics I saw this morning, she was crying.

Yeah, it looks like she was upset, but I still don’t trust Page Six. I’ll try to research more about this.

Actually, I remember an article linked here from page six last summer about a New Year’s Eve party that the Hilton sisters were going to host at LAX for lots of money. It was from page six and Paris’ rep at the time, Sitrick, flat out denied it, with a spin that it was just an attempt to make Paris look bad and greedy. As events turned out, Page six pretty much nailed it.

Lots of the media have a problem with reporting accurately on Paris, but Paris, and her people, have a problem with accuracy themselves sometimes. Not a criticism, just an observation.

Here, I don’t know. I just know that the pics I saw, she was upset and crying. Again, not some two-year old temper tantrum, but she was crying and it wasn’t just a bad pic.

Another tempest in a teapot, artificially created by Page Six. This is getting old.
Maybe Paris stepped wrong and hurt her foot or whatever, the possibilities are endless and no one knows for sure.

What we do know is that Paris gets scrutinized more than any other celeb and haters are always quick to make a big deal out of nothing.

John Meyers had it right when he commented that you can’t live your life by Page Six. Ragazines are idiotic.

Actually, most of the people there know what happened, so it’s not hard to determine whatever the truth is. However, for her people to say it was just a bad pic and then it’s clear that it wasn’t, simply damages her credibility, whether this was a “tempest in a teapot” or not. There are many other times when Paris or her people stretch or spin the truth. That doesn’t help long term.

Whether it’s promoting a movie like Hottie or explaining why you’re postponing a trip to Africa, it becomes very hard to take one’s word, if they’ve lost credibility. Not saying that she has, but it’s more than “living by page six”. She’s in a business where she needs/wants people to believe her.

David,

I don’t think her reps have said anything about it. I just assumed it was a bad picture because on all websites, they only posted this one. I never saw the ones you posted.

Like I said, I’ll try to search more about it, but I doubt I’m going to find anything for now. It’s going to be hard to find evidence since Page Six’ version is all over the net.

Much better to hear that was your guess, than something from Paris, thanks admin.

(The associated press was also the group that falsely reported that Paris was trying to save drunk elephants, so I wouldn’t necessarily consider them the champions of outstanding journalism.)

Whaaat? Page Six not stretching the truth? Since when. That paper is notorious for printing half-truths and insinuations.

Also, eyewitnesses are not necessarily reliable at all times. But no matter, it seems that Page Six blew a little incident clear out of proportion again.

Oh BTW, just a reminder that Paris will be on Letterman tonight. I got my alarm clock set for it.

Yeah, the AP does make mistakes time to time, but it’s usually when they get their information from celebrity sites. Generally, I’d say they’re reliable.

The problem with such stories is that they don’t provide videos or real evidence, so you really have to dig in.

Page Six is quite a hateful site/mag, so it can’t always be trusted.

Yeah, when it comes to Paris Hilton people see what they want to see.
If it was Paris’s party out in AZ, the story makes even less sense. Perhaps 50Cent was just plain rude or kidding but something does not fit right with this tale.
But that’s not unusual when it comes to stories about Paris.
I feel bad for her. Some crazy websites and mags are always looking to find something negative to say about her. It’s nuts.

david,

in re the LAX party and page 6 reports last summer. If I remember correctly, what page 6 reported was not quite the LAX party that did happen. what they claimed was that while paris was in jail, her father, rick, was negotiating a welcome home party in vegas, and LAX was one of the possible sites mentioned (as was Pure) for $800K payment to paris. That of course was false.

I don’t think anybody reported on the New year’s Eve plans until much later, which was for paris and nicky to host. not surprising it was LAX since Nicky is a co-owner.

one more thing, from looking at the pictures, i’m not so sure she’s really crying. maybe, just tired or whatever. anyway, these could be stills taken from a high speed video. that means you can pick shots to look like anything as every minute, nano-second of movement can be freezed and thereby manipulated out of context

it’s been done before. to paris and others. the one proven so clearly was the Anna Nicole Smith incident where the stills were taken from a video and made her appear out of it. when in fact the high speed still was lifted from within a series that actually showed her smiling when you saw the video in real time and all the stills in their correct order.

I am so sick of everyone’s jealousy when it comes to Paris. I honestly don’t understand how she deals with it. Everyone or well most everyone (excluding her fans, family, etc) is ALWAYS trying to knock her down and just be so cruel towards her. The way people react towards her I just don’t understand it. I’ve seen people react better or well in a nicer manner towards murders. And it’s just like this story so many people are enjoying it including Backstreet Boys fans especially Nick Carter teenys. IF it’s true then it’s such a damn mean thing and further proves why I think he’s such an ass.

E!News Online has picked up this story as well. but it’s in the E!News Now video clips. it’s done by valerie ortiz, who ALWAYS edits or presents a story in a way to make paris look bad, and full of snarky (ignorant) comments. just like Ashlan Gorse does.

I think these 2 girls and everyone who does the video spots are basically competing to get an on air position so they always got to the paris-bashing well to create a video story that is sure to make it onto the website with the tagline credited to them. Again, selective “journalism” to get ahead by making the celeb look bad when you get more milage and coverage for yourself that way.
