Paris Hilton Goes Back To “Boring” Mode

Months after promoting her clothing line, new fragrance and doing some promotion for other designers, Paris Hilton appears to be taking a break by going out and partying. Well, doesn’t this remind you of last year? After she promoted her album worldwide, for at least five months, she was out and having fun (when she would’ve been touring…) while filming a bit of “Hottie” and Simple Life 5. The great news is that “Hottie” is coming out in Feburary and Repo! in April, but bad news is that we’re still in 2007.

Last night, Paris Hilton and the Alex guy were at Villa, whatever that place is. By the way, have I ever told you how boring it is when Paris hangs out with guys? While they were leaving, one crazy “fan” started screaming “I love you!” to Paris. Somewhat funny stuff!

Earlier, TMZ reported that Alex Vaggo had insult one of Paris Hilton’s fan, but they quickly removed the post. Maybe because they invented it. Anyhow, no video of him insulting a fan was found by ParisHiltonSite.net.

Last night, again, Paris Hilton went to Hyde. This time, she was spotted with the famous Canadian singer Avril Lavinge in the back of an SUV.

Unfortunately, at this point in time, hanging with Paris will boost your public profile, but not your career. (See Britney Spears, Nick Carter, that Desperate Housewives guy John? Josh? Jake? whatever) In a sense, I hope this changes soon, so that hanging with Paris is not a “liability”, but a plus. The actual TMZ post doesn’t really insult them, but it does mock them a bit.

Also, does the pizza guy have that much ambition? I guess after working for tips, a modeling career would be a significant boost.

This post and CCs comment reminds me of why I feel sorry for these nightclub girls, particularly Paris. I had actually checked out x17 b/f I came here. They pretty much make fun of Paris and Avril for hanging out together since Paris hooked up with Avril’s husband. CC’s post reminded me of the amazing double standard at work. If the pizza delivery guy is using Paris, I bet that he is not subsequently called any names, etc. I don’t think that would be the case if the situation was reversed. I don’t think these women are treated fairly. Why do the girls suffer so much more than the guys? Is Brody Jenner more responsible than the “party girls” ? No. How much does he allegedly hookup? Consequences, zero. ( I know that he’s not really respected, but he’s not mocked, either) What has Stavros ever done besides be born rich and date Paris and Lohan, etc? Is he a stud or a slut? If Paris or Lohan were guys, they’d be studs and not sluts.

(I follow this site b/c I liked the Simple Life, her perfumes, her album, and The Hillz. [Check it out if you can. It’s pretty good considering Paris’ youth.] It’s cool to find a site like this where I can find out what’s coming out next. I then get sucked in to other issues a bit more. This is one of them.)

The entire “Hollywood club” crowd seems anchored to a couple of cities, with a couple of bars, etc. The same thing over and over again just done in Malibu, NYC, London, or wherever. It seems empty and, I would think, boring after awhile to do the same things with mostly the same people in only slightly different places. It was weird to hear a person with Paris’ wealth admit that she hadn’t ever been to China. I don’t have near her wealth and am still young, but have probably seen more of the world than she has. I bet that a lot of other people could say the same thing. Anyone who’s simply gone on Semeter-at-Sea has probably seen more interesting things than most of this crowd. That continual club life just doesn’t seem like a great life, but if they enjoy it, so what? The “what” is that the life/lifestyle of the women is treated so much worse than the men.

This entire Hollywood nightclub crowd reminds me of a second rate, but harmless, high school clique. Not quite popular, but not complete dorks either. They all go to the same parties, hookup with each other’s friends’/frenemies’ boyfriends or exes, and are average/below average students. That’s it. No real harm done. Even if what they do is a bit shady, they don’t seem to hurt anyone, except maybe themselves. Of course, it’s the girls in this crowd that get singled out, especially Paris.

The “party girls” have fun and make loads of money by having their pics taken and going to parties. Dave or David pretty harshly tore into Paris’ career on this site and I disagree with most of what he wrote. They aren’t extraordinarily successful in the entertainment industry, but they find a means to fame and fortune. They also do some entertainment projects. They then launch businesses. Paris has successfully started a business empire and I think it’s cool. Her entertainment projects will hopefully receive better sales in the future. However, Spears’ albums have had declining sales for years and her latest may not even sell 1 million. Lavigne supposedly had to cancel/postpone a tour due to poor ticket sales. I don’t know anything that Richie has done besides the Simple Life. Misha Barton dropped off the face of the earth or followed Tara Reid, wherever she wound up. Has Lohan ever had a non-child star hit movie? (I suspect she’ll be joining Barton and Reid soon) Jessica Simpson has lived off of one big record and an MTV show. I’m not sure how much the club scene and the pics hurt them, but I don’t think that it helps, aside from helping to sell some magazines. The main point is it hasn’t affected Adam Levine, from Maroon 5, or Justin Timberlake. It’s only the girls who are mocked, stuck with nasty labels, and then, decreased sales.

They also seem to have crappy social lives, besides the fact that they recycle hookups, they also date crappy guys and are called names b/c of it. The pizza guy, though a bit of a tool, will probably wind up hooking up with (or some combination of), within a couple of months, Spears, Lohan, Duff, Kardashian, that girl from Heroes, or one of the girls from the Hills. (Did Paris really previously date Lavigne’s husband?) Paris has had guys like Stavros, who seems to have a loyalty problem, Joe Francis and Salomon (LOSERS). Lohan was also with Stavros and now Raley? Riley? who is a LOSER. Spears, apparently hooked up with many losers and actually married Kfed who is a BIGGER (BIGGEST?) LOSER, etc. Of course, no matter how badly the girls are treated (see Salomon), Hollywood’s “A-list” and the media unfairly pick on them for being “party girls.” Shut up Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, etc. Didn’t Julia Roberts do her share of “partying” during her peak? Yet, she’s now “America’s Sweetheart.

It seems like the culture now needs twenty-something age girls to mock. It’s almost mysoginistic to always have some girl to pick on in our society and continually discuss hookups, alcohol and drug use, etc. What about John Mayer? Is he much different than these girls?

It also seems highly unfair to Paris to portray her as out of the norm of this crowd. If you believe her, then she’s had far fewer bf’s than the media portrays. Anyway, this crowd is so incestual, it’s a good bet that whatever STD one of them has so do MANY/MOST of the others, so Moakler, Joe Francis and the media can stop making a big deal out of whatever was in her storage locker.

Some of this may be their fault as they play with the media or send messages through the media to bf’s or frenemies. Hopefully, this is part of what Paris meant when she said that she’d been immature in the past and has now matured. No more silly media stunts. Anyway, I hope that when I’m in my mid/late 20’s I will have hit up enough parties and clubs and will have a bit more going on in life than to want to go to clubs all the time and hookup with lots of sketchy guys. But, it just doesn’t seem fair to pick on the women. If that is what these women want to do, then they shouldn’t be judged so unfairly or suffer worse consequences than the guys.

Alex evidently is done with College and only delivered pizzas during vacation time, like so many people before they got famous. Guess he’s getting modeling contracts now.

Paris is not stupid, if she wants to help Alex out,so be it.

I don’t see any liability in hanging with Paris.
Most people can see by now that Britney has bigger problems than Paris does.
Same goes for some of the other people, Paris will most likely outlast them all.

Fortunately, it’s dead week b/f finals, so there is some time to procrastinate. I guess there’s just something so much more Hollywood in being a waiter or lifeguard than a pizza guy living in a hostel. It doesn’t really matter, didn’t Zsa Zsa Gabor or Liz Taylor marry a plumber or construction worker.

Also, I didn’t mean that Paris wouldn’t outlast them, only that hanging with her failed to do anything positive for their careers and the media likes to point to the Britney/Paris friendship as the beginnng of the end for Britney. Allegedly, Spears’ mgt told her she had to stop hanging w/ Paris to “save her comeback” (TMZ takes a small jab at them.) Anyway, just to clarify, I do think that Paris will be around for a long time.

imho, the beginning of the end for Britney came with having two kids too soon.

Paris is rich enough that worrying about what others think is a waste of time.
Her fans love her and haters wouldn’t buy her products anyway, so they don’t count.

As long as she does not break any laws, Paris has a right to go out and date. In fact, she should go out.

But I doubt there is anything between Paris and Vaeggoe. At least not for now.

I’m not sure what most of your post is responding to. The “too long” post I wrote above doesn’t discuss her right to go out. To the contrary, it, hopefully, makes the point that she should go out as much as she wants and not experience any double std. I don’t think any other comment above relates to her going out at all.

Rosie is making millions just like Paris and it’s besides the point. The point was that most people/media said stay away from Paris. Remember, the “Bimbo Squad” or whatever the NY Post wrote with the pic of Paris, Spears and Lohan. Didn’t Britney drop out of an awards show with Paris at that time? etc.

As to the she’s rich, so who cares what anyone else thinks point you make, I thought that only environment-rampaging, multi-national oil companies thought like that. Not to be judgmental, but it seems a bit shallow. (“I made some money, so who cares about anyone or anything else.”) It also didn’t help her much with her album sales, the probation judge, Hallmark, etc. Unfortunately, there are consequences for these girls. It may have been Carnegie, or at least one of the robber barons, who said that , “at the end of the day, you only have your reputation.” $$$ won’t make you happy, etc. Anyway, . . .

Oh well, I don’t really feel like studying. I’m going out. 🙂

From what I’ve seen, Alex is actually going around in Europe singing her praises.
Paris is different, that’s why she stands out, and you will most likely never see her conform to a burgeois life style. Especially since she can afford to be different.
