Paris Hilton interviewed about her 2014 plans

Reported by Las Vegas Sun (Robin Leach)

How did you become interested in a celebrity DJ role?

I have always loved music and putting together different playlists for parties. I’m close friends with some of the world’s best DJs, and I’ve been going to clubs for their shows since I was a teenager, so I’ve picked up some great tips.

I started seriously training about three years ago, and I love it. It’s fun to mix songs that make people happy and want to dance. My family and close friends have always been so supportive, so they really encouraged me to start playing my sets.

You were the hit of hot Ibiza this summer, and you’ve just returned from a cold Siberia and Russia trip. Tell me a little about both extremes and both places!

I had an amazing time in Ibiza this summer where I had a DJ residency at Amnesia, one of the hottest clubs. My “Foam and Diamonds” party sold out every night, and to perform at a foam party with more than 10,000 people was unlike any other experience I’ve had.

Siberia and Russia are so beautiful, it was like a winter wonderland! Being there really put me in the Christmas spirit. All of the fans there were so welcoming and warm. It was nice to meet my fans during my two mall appearances and my DJ set at Manon.

Any other memories from other clubs around the world you’ve played?

I’m so lucky that I get to travel and play for my fans all over the world. I was just in Dubai, where I performed at the Cavalli Club. It was an amazing experience at one of the most gorgeous clubs. I can’t wait to go back.

Now you’re really a world traveler. Any idea what’s already set for 2014? How does 2013 wind up for you?

I traveled a lot in 2013 performing as a DJ and opening Paris Hilton Handbag & Accessories stores. I recently opened my 45th store. It was such a fun year, full of great experiences. In 2014, I plan to travel and open even more stores.

I’ll be releasing my album with Young Money Cash Money Records and will also be returning to Ibiza this summer for my second DJ residency at Amnesia. I’m excited for 2014 to be the best year yet.
