Paris Hilton plans to visit Africa

Paris Hilton will soon announce that she’ll be taking a trip to Africa, according to Radar Online.

Paris recently said: “I met Sarah Brown, wife of British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and she is so inspirational and gracious. It was an honor for me to be there, and I want to help shine a light on the struggles that Africa faces.”

She is invited to visit the African country Cameroon. “The First Lady of Cameroon [Chantal Biya] personally invited me to Cameroon and it’s something I hope to make happen. It is a very important priority to me,” she said.

She has stayed in touch with Brown and Biya since the last time she met them at the LA summit.

Scott Lazerson of the Interface Foundation added: “The First Lady of Camaroon has invited the Interface Foundation to Cameroon to work on the Millennium Development goals.  We have some exciting news to announce in the next two weeks.”

Carter Isom,

When you post articles copied from this site on your website, please credit PHS, especially if you do this often. All these posts belong to PHS.

It’s incredible how PHS is being plagiarized nowadays by other fans. I’m flattered and happy that some of my posts are spread out, but there’s hardly any credit given to the site and person who does all the work and research!

It’s great that Paris is doing this.

Of course, she has been active in various charity orgs all along but she does it so quietly that people often don’t notice.

Paris’ perfumes are doing extremely well with sales of over $200 million a year. She’s launching her 9th fragrance, Siren, which is expecting a summer release!

Wow instead of October for Christmas, she’s launching one in the summer!

This is the picture of all her fragrances too, and I’m guessing the new bottle is Siren!
Out of all the reviews the souce asked, Siren got the best reviews!

“SIREN, coming summer ’09
Guys say …
“It’s light … it reminds me of a cloud. It’s nice, probably the best of hers’.”

“It smells the most sophisticated.”

Paris should do more charity work to help her image. Maybe instead of her usual activities (shopping and partying), she should just be photographed doing civic work. Or tending to her businesses. We don’t seem to see her doing the nitty gritty part of her businesses. We see her launching them but we don’t see her doing anything else. Civic work has rehabilitated a lot of celebrity images, i.e., Nicole Richie.

a paris fan,

The reason why you don’t see pictures of Paris “doing the nitty gritty part of her businesses” is because it mostly happens behind closed doors. That’s why we don’t see the work she does in her music studio, for example, and so people assumes she does nothing.

Besides, the media and the public are still *more interested* in worthless/boring stories about her shopping and partying.

Paris probably does more charity work than what is being reported in the media.

“she should just be photographed doing civic work”

So Paris shouldn’t be allowed to have any social life (the only way for her not to be photographed shopping and partying is for her not to do them). She should live her life simply how you want?

Paris isn’t doing anything wrong and I think it speaks more of her that she doesn’t wave her charity work around like a badge (it’s often the organisations or hospitals that Paris donates to, who report the fact rather than Paris talking about it herself). It suggests that maybe it’s something Paris really wants to do and isn’t anything to do with image management.

Typical of course that Paris has been doing her fair share of charity and raising awareness lately and yet there’s always people moaning that it’s not enough and she should still have to live a nun-like lifestyle into the bargain. Paris doesn’t owe this kind of fan anything and you don’t own her. No one does.

And personally I couldn’t give a toss about Nicole Richie. She doesn’t mean anything to me or is relevant to me in any way. Whereas Paris always stands for excitement, sex appeal, fun, glamour, class and a good, sweet nature. As a fan, I like to see her having a good time (I also like to see her having projects and helping charity but I don’t hold her to anything).
