Paris Hilton: Rwanda Trip Will Take Place In 2008

Paris Hilton spoke with Extra during the Can Can launch. Extra asked her questions about her Rwanda trip, the Simple Life, etc!

The audio/video associated with this article is unavailable.

About Rwanda Trip

It’s going to be for next year. I want to travel the world. There’s a lot I could do, and a lot I could help.

About the Reality TV Show

[Paris says Playing for Good, had planned to bring cameras] I just want to go for myself. Why would I do a reality show there? [Well, didn’t she mention it in Newsweek?]

About Simple Life [instead of about hrm… her music, maybe?]

[She says it’s time to move on] I’ve been doing five seasons. I love the show. My best friend is about to have a baby…We don’t want to be doing ‘The Simple Life’ forever. We’ve grown out of that stage.

About the stupid Kid Rock rumors

I’ve known him for years. Of course when we’re photographed together people are going to say something…I think he’s a really nice, cool guy. But we’re just friends. I’m single right now.

Nice to have an update and I enjoyed the interview, even if some of the questions were a bit old hat or treading water. Love to see Paris just being natural and letting her good nature shine through.

God interview, Paris is just an amazing young woman, especially when she’s just being herself. She has such a charismatic light around her.

Hard to believe she’s been in the public eye now for more than ten years. Despite all the flack she gets and unfavorable comparisons to the so-called “good girls” ie, Disney Channel kiddies, that are in the generation following her, she is and always will be a unique and very interesting person. Let’s see where the Disney goodie-goodies are in ten years, I bet most will fade away into generic-la-la-land oblivion. Most of them now at 14 -18 years of age, have stylists, etc. They don’t even dress themselves or have any sense of individuality. They are just over-produced, pre-packaged robots and mannequins. Think back ten years to what Paris was like at that age. She was completely herself, a daring, individual rsik-taker who has always done her own styling. Also, I think the goodie-goodies and most people in general would simply crumble under the pressure and scrutiny that Paris has endured all these years with her head held high.

I found the comment about Nicole interesting. I hope Nicole and she really are still close and Paris wasn’t just being nice. Personally, I think Nicole (and especially Joel) would throw Paris under the bus in a heart beat to distance Nicole from Paris to rehab Nicole’s image. Time will tell.

Didn’t Nicole have a baby shower this weekend? Paris didn’t go, right? I assume that’s because she was getting ready to go to Russia, although she did go out in LA. However, if there’
s even a question that they would throw her under the proverbial bus, then that would suggest that her and Nicole are not really friends. (As well as a few other things.).

Also, agree with you re: Paris’ charisma. There’s something about her smile, personality, resilience, etc. that draws you to her.

Don’t get me wrong, i like Nicole, but I think Nicole can be very manipulative and is known to be a very good liar. She has admitted this herself and has considered it a great asset when she was younger and always getting into trouble, that she could always lie her way out of it. Her and Joel’s performances with Diane Sawyer were priceless. It was so over the top that I can’t believe anybody bought it. However, as the PR saying goes, tell people what they want to hear, especially when it involves a mea culpa, and you’ll have them eating out of your hand.

Joel was PR converted from the hot-tempered party guy he really is to a sweet, bible-reading christian, who lives a conservative life-style and is the firm hand that Nicole needs to change. What rubbish! Remember, she was pulled over that night after just leaving his house, so guess where she was smoking pot and with whom? How nobody in the media has put that little tid-bit together and made an issue of it is beyond me. Not that I care about smoking pot, but geez!

Now with all the pressure of being pregnant, wanting to keep Joel at any cost, to improve her image, etc, I think if she had to choose between Joel and Paris, that it would be no contest. Yeah, she’s Paris’ friend now, but don’t hold your breath, if Nicole thinks that it’s more beneficial to dump Paris to please or to keep Joel, then I think she’d do it in a heart beat.

Just my personal opinion, but I think Nicole is dumb like a fox. Paris on the other hand can be very sweet and too trusting. Even Nicky says Paris can be naive about people and that has gotten her into trouble. I think Paris has a blind spot when it comes to Nicole because of their upbringing together and Nicole will exploit that.

Part of the reason Nicole got off easy (by that i mean the standard sentence vs the BS sentence Paris received) compared to Paris this summer is because Nicole quit being around Paris in public. They haven’t been photographed together since June. Good lawyering and probably necessary at the time, but what about now? Since Nicole did who 82 minutes back in August, she still hasn’t been in public with Paris. Why not? There have been opportunities.

Anyway, just my suspicion. If Nicole screws Paris, then I think in the long run Paris is better off without her. Nobody needs a fair-weather friend. Paris has Nicky and I’d rather see her stick with her over Nicole any day.

About the baby shower, not sure about that. Other reports have Nicole out of the country in Thailand still this weekend. She may be back in LA now.
