Second season of “The World According to Paris” greenlighted!

According to Paris Hilton, the production of the second season of “The World According to Paris” has been given the OK, but there’s only one problem… Paris is not sure if she wants to make another season.

In an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, she said: “They wanna do it so I’m thinking if I want to or not.”

Would love to see a 2nd season, but some things need to change…

When I read the title, I actually was pleased. I completely agree about things needing to change if Paris does decide to do another season. For me, it’d be a lot more fun if it was focused on her projects (Like when she launched her motorbike team) and showing her adventures with Jen (I enjoyed seeing their friendship). But drop the set up ~drama (lol Lexie) and the focus on Paris’ love life. Also, I’d enjoy seeing Paris doing photoshoots and behind the scenes of chat shows/interviews (like they did with jimmy Kimmel). The #1 thing I want to see is Paris making music. I know she’s shy and private about that side of stuff, but I’d be so happy to see that. It’d be cool to show how involved Paris is with the process (writing etc) and that she CAN sing. I don’t mind if it’s one little clip, it’d just be great to see (I’ve also always wanted to know what her studio looks like). I know what I want is a bunch of stuff that is more of a serving to fans.. but given the petite audience season 1 had, there is room for them to perhaps do that and also have more freedom in general with what they show.

OH! I forgot something very important – get rid of the voice overs during the show. Keep the opening and closing ones. I liked them.

Some of the in-show voice overs are necessary though to explain what’s going on. It’s just the voice overs that are like “That shirt is so 80s! Barf!” that need to go because they don’t make her come across in a good light.

As I’ve said before, I think it’s fine for them to showcase her family/friends/relationships, but that stuff shouldn’t dominate the show either. Half of every episode should be focused on her either doing something work or charity related. It’d also be great to show off a “hidden talent” each episode like show her singing, show her painting, playing hockey, cooking her lasagna, etc. That way people could see she does have talent and is a cool, sweet, hardworking person. Hopefully now that Lexie and Cy are gone, there wouldn’t be as much drama if they do a second season.

Voice-overs are fine but they need to be more thoughtful and should always be kind.

We all understand that there has to be a storyline and some drama in each segment – but please, no ugly confrontations by any of the participants.

The emphasis should be on upscale, uplifting and beautiful – much like Paris herself.
Because most fans see Paris as a cut above the rest.

She’s probably lying as usual. Guarantee she will “decide NOT to do a second season” and then it’ll come out in the press that Oxygen really cancelled it and she was lying to make herself look better, as she often does.

There are no indications that the show has been cancelled. The show will start airing in Canada in September. But it’s also expected to air worldwide.

I agree with the comments. I think it must not show her in a bad light. Don’t be too harsh or use harsh words when you criticize someone. I think the premiere episode was maybe not really a good start. But yeah, it should done be a bit differently for the 2nd season.

Media is reporting “The World According to Paris” is cancelled now. Back to “BFF” now I’m hoping personally, at least that was always a sure-fire hit.

I highly doubt she’ll go back to BFF. She said she has moved on from those doing those shows. Maybe something similar, if indeed TWATP is cancelled?

If TWATP is cancelled/she decides not to do another season, I don’t think she’ll do any reality shows for at least a few years.
