Antebi Footwear Group countersues Paris Hilton over her footwear collection

Reported by NY Daily News

Paris Hilton is a heel, a New York-based shoe company is claiming in a new countersuit against the hotel heiress.

Hilton sued Antebi Footwear Group in Manhattan Federal Court last month, saying the company owes her more than $1 million in unpaid royalties for her signature shoe line, which features sexy and strappy stilettos and wedges.

But Antebi kicked back Saturday, seeking a $2 million royalty refund and additional damages.

The company, which teamed up with Hilton in 2007 for her Paris Hilton Footwear line, says the reality television star has no soul because she made a deal with Antebi rival Retouch last year for a new shoe line called “Parisian Parc.”

Rubbing salt in the blister, Hilton promoted the new collection on Twitter, says the countersuit against Paris Hilton Entertainment. It charges that violated Hilton’s contract with Antebi.

“Obsessed with all my new shoe designs,” Hilton tweeted.

“Love how all the fabrics & colors go perfectly with my bags.”

Hilton’s initial lawsuit claims Antebi violated the contract by failing to pay royalties to the 33-year-old blond. The company insists she broke the terms first.

The wealthy socialite’s namesake company “breached its covenant of good faith and fair dealing to Antebi by means of its aforesaid intentional and malicious acts and by destroying and injuring Antebi’s rights to receive the fruits of its relationship with PHE and those rights granted pursuant to the exclusive licensing agreements,” the counterclaim says.

They defaulted on paying her what she was owed?
So she started looking for another company to do business with?
Most business people would do exactly that.
