Britney Spears, Not Paris Hilton, Will Perform At This Year’s 2007 Video Music Awards In Las Vegas

MTV announced today that Britney Spears is going to perform at the 2007 Video Music Awards. Britney released her new single a couple of weeks ago.

Now this is not a Britney fan site, but I want to make a nice comparison. Paris released “Stars Are Blind” in June 2006. Then in early Fall 2006, she released “Nothing in this World.” If we were living in a perfect world, the smartest thing Paris could’ve done is perform “Nothing in this World” at the 2006 VMA. Actually, there were many similar events where she could’ve perform, but she didn’t.

That’s just to let you see how disappointed her fans were back then, especially since she said was going to go on tour, etc. However, now, Paris says she will perform and go on tour after she releases her second album. And she most likely will if she’s serious about her music career.

Paris’ music still remains a hot topic at ParisHiltonSite.net one year after the release of her album, mainly because I personally believe that’s what she’s most good at, besides modeling and fashion.

come on now… isnt it obvious, if she really could sing, dont u think she would have. Knowing Paris shed want to prove everyone wrong. But shes not ready and nor is her voice (thats why shes taking vocal lessons…) her first album was edited to the extreme. I loved her songs but you have to be “blind” to think that was her natural voice. I love paris and alll but you guys are totally oblivious to the obvious.

I obviously don’t agree with you and I don’t think much editing was needed for the first album. I do think she wasn’t ready to perform last year.

Anyway, that’s a very good question. I was wondering also. I hope she will attend and watch and learn from Britney!

Parisfan29 if Paris “can’t sing” then why do I keep reading articles about how she blew away and amazed people with her voice.

Exactly biotch.

Well, isn’t it nice for a renowned expert like Paris”fan”29 to put us all right – all the idiots that happen to love Paris’s album – then? I hereby withdraw any of my own opinions, stop being “oblivious to the obvious” (that… er… wasn’t quite so obvious… obviously) and bow to the ultimate authority in the world of opinions.

I know why you used the word “blind” of course, but you are aware that eyesight has nothing to do with listening to music or your hearing range? All artists are edited to an extent in the recording studio.

“I keep reading articles about how she blew away and amazed people with her voice.”- im sure she did blow them…away…jk.
Any real Paris fan will fess up to the fact that shes not such a great singer, have you seen her little stints at clubs? theres more booty shaking and flashing than their is singing. Her songs ARE GOOD, i love them but in person she cannot sing as well as you think. I was at Tao, May 28th 2006, when she preformed in las vegas. Its been a year already since she came out with an album, she only released 2 singles! WHY? she should have released at least 4… Did anyone see her sing at Hugh Heffners Bday party? it was pretty bad. People who are truly gifted with either a voice or can act stick with one thing and dont go all over the map, Paris does- why you might ask? Its because shes a Business Women and thats it! she took her fame to a whole new level and its working out great for her(for now…) and thats why i admire her. Just because your a paris fan doesnt mean you cant point out her flaws. Even admin called her an idiot, that was pushing it and no one said anything. why is someone an idiot for wanting to start a family?

parisfan29,

You kinda have it all wrong. I called Paris an idiot, but I didn’t really mean it. I didn’t call her an idiot because she wants to start a family, but because she always said she would get married at 30 because of work, which makes perfect sense. I called her an idiot, but I was just joking, and I do all the time. I think most fans understood it that way. I hope.

However, I have criticized her many times in the past, but I do it because I want to show some flaws without overexagerating. That’s where I and the haters differ. The haters focus on the negative aspects all the time.

You’re saying that she can’t sing well, but that’s really not what’s more important. Just the fact that she WANTS to be a singer changes everything. Like you said, she’s still working on it and wants to sing.

I admire Paris because of what she does, not because she makes money. And I can’t imagine her singing and acting just for money. It doesn’t make sense. That’s not a healthy and happy life to live. Plus, she once said in an interview that singing is not for buisness. You can find it in “This is Paris.”

If she really wants to be a businesswoman, she should stick to her fragrances, clothes and products. She’s already extremely successful with those.

Think about it, and you’ll see I’m right. But now, she needs to prove it, and I have absolutely no doubt that she now knows her priorities.

“Any real Paris fan will fess up to the fact that shes not such a great singer”

Real Paris fans are people like anyone else and will have differing opinions and tastes, so I think it’s presumptious to think that your opinion is the only one that any “real fan” will have. Much of what you say sounds like your own personal thoughts and feelings. Fine, but it just seems arrogant to presume that you get to call who the real fans are, based on your own critical bias or think that your own perception of Paris is the reality. Paris seems to me to be someone who likes to enjoy life to the full and achieve. I don’t agree that people should stick to one thing and that diversifying or branching out somehow means you’re any less competent.
