E! News Anchor Giuliana DePandi Is A Paris Hilton Hater?

I was very surprised to learn that Giuliana DePandi is (or was) actually a Paris Hilton hater. There are a couple of hateful (and false) quotes in her book, which was published in 2006, the year when she did an interview with Paris Hilton about Paris’ debut album. She sat down with Paris and discussed about her music and tour. DePandi looked impressed by Paris and all her work.

You also see her many times on E! News covering Paris Hilton stories. The title of her book is “How to Get a Guy by Thinking Like One.”

In the chapter 9 “Don’t Model Yourself After Paris Hilton,” she writes on page 41: “Aside from that, I can’t think of a single redeemable quality in Paris Hilton or a Paris Hilton type. My impression of her is this: shallow, petty, selfish, self-absorbed, and stupid. The worst combination of traits a human being can have. Moments after she sat down I noticed that her purse moved and then began to whine. Can you guess what was in her purse? That’s right, a dog. A dog. She brought her goddamn dog on a blind date?!”

She wrote this before the interview she did with Paris. Whether or not she is still a hater, I’m not sure, but I think we all thought she wasn’t. Funny…

For the record, I don’t have the book, haven’t read it, nor am I interested in it. I got this info from another source.

Umm who would buy her book anyways? LOL no one even knows who she is anyways.

E! always seemed to be a pro-Paris news program.

They are as pro-Paris as you get.

From the excerpt, it sounds like she was on a double date and didn’t like Paris. It’s out of context, but it is weird to take your dog on a date.

E! News, etc I think are nuetral, but not above making snide comments or misleading innuendo about paris.

They defineitely play favorites though. Notice how they go out of their way to over-promote people they like? ie, Hyaden panetierre, katherin Heigel, Miley Cyrus, etc.

They actually get quotes from Miley about “young hollywood”, ans she has plenty of self-righteous things to say! How absurd, she’s only 15, plenty of time for her to screw up in the future. Right now she cocooned in a protective bubble with Disney, we’ll see in the future when she’s on her own.

I remember reading a mid to late 90s interview with Deborah Harry, in which it was noted by the interviewer that she had brought her small Japanese dog with her hidden in her purse because the restaurant didn’t allow dogs. Like I said, several years ago. So I expect it’s not all that uncommon among lovers of small dogs and Paris certainly isn’t the first or only example.

Never even heard of DiPandi until today.
But everyone knows who Paris is, so she’s promoting her book by bashing Paris.
Nothing new here.

Dippandi now goes by her married name, “Rancik”. She married Bill Rancik, the winner of the first Apprentice show. So he works for Donald Trump. Which means Ms. Dipandi-Rancik better mind her Ps nd Qs because Donald Trump is a friiend of the Hilton family and is very fond of Paris.

Paris and Nicky Hilton began their modeling careers with Trump Agency when they were teenagers.

I have depand’s book and i’m actually reading that chapter right now after seeing this story and that’s NOT at all what depandi says. i knew there was a mistake because i watch e news all the time and she freaking loves paris…sometimes almost too much!!! or not! anyway, it says here that there is only one paris hilton and depandi is telling girls who try to imitate her to stop because they can’t carry it off since paris is one of a kind….not because she hates paris!!! OMG. how things get started and spun is crazy! speaking of trump, gotta go and watch the apprentice right now…love gene simmons. he’s so funny. buh-bye!

Interesting, but why did she write: “My impression of her is this: shallow, petty, selfish, self-absorbed, and stupid.”? She’s clearly referring to Paris, no?
