L.A. Sheriff’s Department Refuses To Admit That Paris Hilton Got Special Treatment

Today, there was a report on La Times’ website about celebrities and special treatment. According to a report by L.A. Sheriff’s Department’s office of independent review, Mel Gibson got special treatment during his jail sentence and three deputies were disciplined of this (judge Michael T. Sauer, next?). However, the report states that Paris Hilton got no special treatment during her undeserved jail sentence.

Actually, the whole rotten jail and justice system is wrong. Paris Hilton did get special treatment: the special treatment of spending more time in jail than anyone else convicted of the same crime.

The only charge paris went to jail for was driving on a suspended license. In LA, a city of more than 13 million people, nobody does jail time for that even if the offense occurs while on probation for something else. Even violent, felony offenders who are on parole are not violated and sent back to prison for such an offense. There simply isn’t enough cell space to punish people with incarceration for this type of minor driving offense.

This offense is so minor that it is usually only punishable by a fine or community service. We all know the prosecutor reached down for this case, past thousands of others, to exploit paris for his own re-election campaign “nobody’s above the law” schtick. Too bad he should have checked out the outstadning warants for his wife first. To date, we’ve never heard any follow up on her case or his for that matter.

What crap! Maybe the LA Times should investigate Rocky Delgadillo and his wife before continuing to try and find specks in paris’ eye.

Yes, I know, it’s incredible. Paris was supposed to do community service. I don’t think she’s dumb enough to consciously commit a crime. I blame it on misunderstandings and irresponsibly.

I really get angry when I think about those two, Michael T. Sauer and Rocky Delgadillo, but what the hell.

juju, just to let you know, I’ve send you an email. I think your email address starts with t, right?

Don’t get me started on the crappy sentence Paris got.
We all know that what she really went to jail for is being rich and gorgeous.
The judge would not give her a break because people felt she had too many advantages in life already.
