Paris Hilton has officially finished recording her second album

Breaking News!

At the American Music Awards, Paris Hilton revealed to Entertainment Weekly that she has finished recording her second album. As you already know, the songs were produced by Mike Green, who is the producer of Paramore, the Matches and Good Charlotte. Paris said that she wrote all of the songs! The new album “is very dance, like Kylie Minogue.”

One thing Paris confirmed is that she is no longer associated with Warner Bros. Records. Right now, she’s looking for a new record label: “I’m figuring it out right now. I’m not sure which label I’m doing it with.”

It looks like she’ll be focusing on her new record for the next few months, for sure!

Erick, that tracklist is totally bogus. It includes two songs that AREN’T Paris’s, and is missing FOUR that Paris has CONFIRMED will be on the album (Girl Tax, Platinum Blonde, Jailhouse Baby, and Crave)

That’s great to hear that the album is done but I’m sad to see that Warner Bros did drop her. I guess her sales couldn’t please them.

Seeing as her album is done I guess she had the money to pay the producers and everything to make the album herself. All she needs a label to pick her up to promote and send out the album. I hope she signs with Jive/Zomba!

Ohh great! I personally think she should try Fascination Records. A great UK based pop label. They have Girls Aloud and Sophie Ellis-Bextor both of which have a great electo-synthy-dance sound that Paris seems to be heading in so it would make sense if she were with people like that.

and some info on the Repo! DVD
from the chat last night

I thought the first album was more in the vein of artists like Sophie Ellis-Bextor (dancey, more mature/sophisticated/lush pop) I don’t think Sophie and artists like Girls Aloud have anything in common but they’ll probably have more in common with where Paris’s music seems to be headed.

I just can’t wait for it! I don’t care for which Label she sings, as long as she does it soon.

Paris’ first album has a very american club vibe to it. If you listen to Sophie’s stuff, more so her newer stuff she has a very synthy, disco influenced electro sound, aswel as Girls Aloud although theirs is a much more synth-pop based sound. I think I have a rough idea it what direction Paris is taking her music, I think listening to tracks such as Turn To Stone or The Loving Kind by Girls Aloud or even Unusual You by Britney. I think Paris’ new sound will have a very simple synthy feel to it.
I think Paris commenting on her new sound being Kylie Minogue sounding is a great way to put it, although I really dont like Kylie’s music I think it will work very well for Paris.

Although all these are just my thoughts, speculating about her new sound. Its all quite exciting really since her music is the reason why I became a fan.
