Paris Hilton To Receive Award From Harvard Lampoon, Not Hasty Pudding

An article was published today regarding the award that Paris will receive from Harvard Lampoon on February 6. Here are a couple of interesting quotes:

“The award traditionally goes to actresses with some theater experience or winners of Academy Awards: Katharine Hepburn, Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson,” said Theatricals co-producer Joshua E. Lachter ’09. “Paris Hilton is not normally considered an award-winning actress.”

“Our number one choice was Scarlett Johansson. Our number two was Catherine Zeta Jones. Those guys were busy with something else once they found out it wasn’t the Hasty Pudding, just the Lampoon,” Davenport said. “We went down the list, we got to Paris, and it was very generous of her to come.”

At this point, I’m not sure why she’s been rewarded with an award or whether or not it’s a “somewhat” serious or a complete joke. I’m not going to analyze the article or the award until the day comes.

When asked whether Hilton herself likely realized that the award was from the Lampoon and not the Pudding, he stammered, “Uh oh, man, I’m not sure. Let’s just say I hope that Paris doesn’t read The Harvard Crimson and start doing the math.”

Wow, even the quotes from one of their officers is not exactly flattering. No idea why Paris would want to show up.

I have a VERY bad feeling about this. I think they’re trying to pull a fast one on her and are pulling a huge joke and she doesn’t realize it 🙁

Seriously! I hope she doesn’t show up. If her PR people don’t get her out of this and let her walk into a trap, they should be fired.

I can only hope they have some evil-genius plan to turn the tables and make it work for her if they go through with it, which is so risky i wouldn’t recommend it at all.

she doesn’t need this crap.
