Paris Hilton screamed at “The View” producers backstage?

A hard-to-believe news story appeared this morning on the not-so-reliable NY Post site. The article reports that Paris Hilton was furious that Barbara Walters berated her during the interview on The View. She is said to be upset at the tone of the interview.

According to the NY Post, The View reps confirmed the incident, but Paris’ rep has refused to comment. They also report that [on Thursday] “Hilton abruptly canceled a lunch with several magazine editors and an interview, with her team claiming she was sick, losing her voice and didn’t want to infect others.”

Paris’ rep said: “The decision was made by her management to reschedule two things that were not time-sensitive on Thursday.” Meanwhile, a rep for The View remarked: “We’re sorry Paris felt she had to cancel some interviews.”

Is this article accurate or false?

I hate it when Paris goes on The View. They never let her talk, and always interrupt her. Barbara Walters was way out of line, asking Paris such ridiculous questions.

The View…..actually more like THE SLANTED VIEW…..stopped watching a year ago.

I don’t know. I wouldn’t blame her if she did to be honest. Even though I would’ve liked Paris to answer the questions Whoopi and Barbara asked because I thought some valid things were said, the tone and the way they were asked came across really rude and belittling. I think if someone actually spoke to Paris on her level and asked those things, not asking them while acting like they’re above her, Paris would’ve happily answered. You can see Paris gets upset. She stops talking completely.

Also, I’m actually wondering if this was the same day she did a radio interview and they gave her a bit of a rough time. It hasn’t been posted on here but I can understand why you haven’t. They were trying to play around, trying to be fun (I’d describe it as real boy-ish humor …basically, you’ll only find it funny if you have the mentality of a 12 year old boy) but it came across to be quite pig-headed towards Paris. I also don’t think it helped that they were asking shit questions. But as the radio guys got annoyed at Paris giving pretty blase answers, they basically started passively insulting Paris and saying that she hasn’t worked. Even after all that, Paris still signs a photo that guy took with her and yet they just insult her when she’s gone (even on his twitter account).

Scot, I know the video you’re referring to. I did not post it because I found it too outrageous. What a bunch of obnoxious and immature interviewers. What the hell was Paris doing there and then signing the autograph!

Obviously Paris won’t open up if you’re constantly insulting her. Anyway, it’s the same old crap, so I won’t comment more.

How much charity does Barbara Walters do?????
And why doesn’t she ask all her other guests how much charity they do? This is ridiculous.

Why would Paris have to explain herself when charity should be done quietly and in private, according to the Bible.

I agree that people are too hard on Paris while overlooking the bizarre lifestyles of other celebrities or even joking about it.

I just had a look @ that stupid radio interview & I couldn’t believe how rude the presenters were. Yes, Paris’s answers were a tad rehearsed, but she’s there to promote her show. Her show that doesn’t feature Lindsay or Kim! I think what she said about Kim was really sweet as well considering the circumstances & I don’t even really like Kim much. I feel so bad when I see Paris get upset or offended. It happens really easily sometimes & these recent interviews do show that. I’ve been meaning to share my thoughts on Paris, her personality & behavoir for a while, so I hope people here read this & get where I’m coming from. I’m not meaning to be rude or horrible here, so please guys don’t jump down my throat, but I think Paris MAY be dealing with a couple of mental illnesses. Maybe not even diagnosed to her. We know she has ADHD, but I’m referring to ones that aren’t talked about so much. I’m not saying she’s stupid or retarded or sick, I’m just thinking about her & how she is. I’ve noticed that she fits the criteria for certain aspects of Borderline Personality Disorder & Narcissistic Personality Disorder.  I suggest fans have a look on Wiki & see the diagnosis criteria & you may agree! Again; I STRESS THAT I’M NOT ATTACKING HER OR MAKING FUN. I’m actually trying to get inside her mind to understand how she thinks sometimes & how she behaves in certain situations. I have a really strong interest in psychology  & I have Borderline myself, so if anything, I can often relate. If indeed she does have these types of MIs, it’s unfortunate that people make so much fun of her & call her a “spoiled bitch” & the like because of that’s the case, she really can’t help it! In her head, it seems ok to behave the way she does sometimes & you might notice, especially in Simple Life sometimes; she’ll get confused when she’s told she’s not doing things right or even when the attention is not on her. I’m sure it contributes to the shortness of many of her friendships & relationships, people would have a hard time understanding her & would probably just brand her selfish. Again, if this is MI-related, it’s not her fault & she is doing the best she can! Of course, none of this is cofirmed & is just my theory, but I hope you guys might find it interesting as well. If Paris is dealing with MI, diagnosed or not, life is a lot harder then it appears on the surface a lot & if anything, my heart goes out to her even more!

I don’t think perhaps Paris has anything that sevre wrong with her. I mean, we don’t know her personally but as fans we do pick up a lot of the things she says and does. I’ve always taken Paris to be very shy. I’m a really shy person in real life and I get quite awkward in social situations and I’ve always related to Paris with that. I do find that she does the exact same things that I do. She does mumble from time to time and she always fidgets (the most commong thing be the leg kicking/bouncing). Is it anything sevre? I don’t think so. It’s just a personality trait and I think she is very reserved and actually quite a private person. I’ve also thought that this is perhaps where her use of ~certain things~ has come into it. Part of her business is/was social gatherings and for someone to put themselves out like that night, after night, after night would be painfully tiring. Especially if you’re not naturally a social person. So taking a little a something here or there to give herself some confidence or making it so she goes all out and doesn’t give a fuck. I completely understand that (Not that it’s right). Of course we’re going a bit indepth here but this has been my thoughts on her personality and why she is the way she is in interviews and often has overly rehearsed answers. Not because she doesn’t have anything to say, not because she thinks she is better than the interviewers. She’s just simply uncomfortable talking to people.

I very much agree with you Scot. Not that I entirely disagree with you, Benji. But I definitely think Paris is more of a shy and reserved type of person. I can also relate to her in so many ways. Like you said, even in interviews, she really doesn’t reveal much, and you get the sense that she doesn’t want to go too deep. Or maybe, it’s the result of being beaten down by so much vicious hatred. How this girl has survived and remained sane over the years is a mystery.

I also find her very dichotomous. It’s an interesting personality.

i’m a psychology-student and i was always suspecting a personality disorder. but i could never decide if its the narcistic or the borderline one…many people in the spot-ligt either have narcistic personality disorder or the borderline one. lindsay and britney have borderline…but borderliners can get quite aggressive which trate i miss watching paris…but maybe shes aggressive behind closed doors with the cameras off…

You cannot diagnose anyone without years of actual work experience.

Paris Hilton’s life is simply very different from average persons, who often cannot relate to a Beverly Hills lifestyle.

That’s what makes Paris interesting.
But it hardly makes her mental.

Jen, having a mental illness is VERY common. Thousands of people in the world have one undiagnosed. It doesn’t make someone “mental”. It can affect how people behave in social situations & understand things. Don’t take people’s theories to heart so much. Elfi was only speculating based on her own knowledge, as I was.
