Paris Hilton talks about her second music album with USA Today

Reported by USA Today

Paris Hilton, 32, was in Ibiza when Cyrus performed on the MTV Video Music Awards in August, but she watched a clip online and doesn’t see what all fuss is about. “I think she’s an artist and she’s having fun, she’s performing. She’s looked really cute.”

Hilton points out that Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball video was done with photographer Terry Richardson. “Maybe if she had done the video with some random director it wouldn’t have been as cool.”

As for any wrong message it sends to young girls, she says, “No, I don’t believe that. I think they know it’s an artist performing. It’s not real life. It’s like a fantasy world. I don’t think someone watches and says I need to do this or that.”

In fact, she thinks the success of her pop star peers is admirable and she’s happy to be part of it. “I’m into girl power. I’m a huge fan of Britney, Katy (Perry). They are very inspirational. I love that there are so many women really singing fun songs.”

We can expect to hear Hilton branch out with more fun songs of her own with her album, which is due next year. “I have some ballads, some love songs. My other songs are more like Good Time, which are very EDM (Electronic Dance Music)-based, collaborations with Snoop Dogg and Flo’ Rida.” Next up is another pop work, We Are One. “It’s about how we’re all one – the whole world,” she says.

Music has always been one of her passions. She has played the violin and piano since she was 4, she says. And she loves animals. She has seven dogs, six sugar gliders (marsupials), bunnies, ferrets, rats, a pony and a pig. She wants to start a foundation devoted to animals and children.

As for her children of her own? Maybe with boyfriend River Viiperi, who is 11 years her junior? She says that she’s happy for friend Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and their engagement. “They make such a cute couple!”

“Next up is another pop work, We Are One.” I don’t get it, is it saying that the next single is We Are One?

It definitely sounds like “We Are One” is the next single. I hope we get it before Christmas.
