Paris Hilton to film “My New Best Friend” in Dubai!

Breaking News!

It’s confirmed! According to a UAE-based television executive, Paris Hilton will film another version of “My New BFF” in Dubai, United Arab Emirates!

A Dubai TV executive, Ziad Battal, told a local trade-industry publication Media Week: “I’ve been asked to executive produce the Paris Hilton show. She’s going to come here to Dubai and shoot the whole thing from here.”

Ziad added that “[the BFF show] would have to be compatible with cultural sensitivities as the [international icon] is known for her wild partying.”

A Dubai-based production company, Filmworks, will also be involved in the production of the new BFF show.

It’s really amazing! It’s too good to be true! Even though it will be filmed in Dubai, it may also be shown in other Arab countries, like Egypt. There’s lots of people in the Arab world, so she’s going to reach out to a whole new audience.

She already conquered America, Europe and Asia, but she needs a stronger army in the Middle East!

And the show is gonna be super fun to watch, if we get the chance to see it!

Enkil is very excited!

I hope after conquering the Arab world she finishes conquering Australia. Her products do so well here! And I have no doubt a BFF would be great here too. But thats just my wishful thinking haha.

I think this may be here best business choice to date. But we’ll have to wait and see how it turns out.

I am glad to see that Paris is still getting work, perpetuating her brand, becoming more wealthy, prominent and I really do wish her the very best success that can come from life.

On the other side of the coin, however, Paris has by no means conquered America, because sadly, she seems to have just as many haters as those who love her, perhaps more. I know that just by taking up to defend her, I have received hate mail and death threats, so I’m not so sure I’d say she has conquered America.

I think she would do an Australian show, she seems to love that place. I would love it if she did a Canadian one, because I am Canadian, but if I entered, I would never be picked because I am straight. I suppose I could pretend to be gay, but that could come back and bite me in the ass.

Personally I hope that this is the last one or that they get spread out more. This will be the fourth season in a way and it’s nowhere near as enduring as The Simple Life in my opinion.

omg this is a bad idea! I love Paris but the BFF show have run their course. Time to move on to something new. Nothing against the people of Dubai but that country and the UAE are in an economic mess with the coming depression.

I know that the BFF shows are nothing compared to the Simple Life. Most of us had a special “attachement” to the Simple Life, and it was 10x more fun to watch!

But I think filming My BFF in a country like Dubai will be something completely different. Clash of cultures… kinda like Simple Life? It’ll be fun!

I agree with Enkil, this series will be very different because Dubai is completely unlike the UK or US, it’s a very different culture.

this is not a good idea at all in my opinion.. love paris.. and loved both the u.s and u.k version of the show.. i know its for entertainment but its a little desperate now.. and the location is so random.. it just strikes me as really odd.. i cant see them filming for more than a week or 2

Guys have faith in Paris. We all know she wouldnt keep on doing something unless it was worth watching. Arabian remix of My BFF anyone?

Paris singing a bit of “My BFF” in Arabic would be better! =)

It would be a kewl idea, and it would generate a lot of attention, haha!

i see nothing wrong with continuing a successful telvision series, which BFF has become. Dubai offers amazing opportunites because of the cultural differences, but I just hope Dubai it is safe, especially given their economic meltdown.

foreignors who have lost their jobs there have been fleeing the country because if they are unemployed for 3 months, then their work visa expires and they can quite litterally be sent to debtors prison if they can’t pay their bills in Dubai, ie mortages, car loans etc.

So the place is really chaotic now.

I’m so happy for Paris!
This BFF franchise is a wonderful idea and I hope she does one in every country.

BTW, there are some new pics up at gossipgirls.com from last night’s A-listers party and Paris ooks absolutely STUNNING.

Well, if there are 195 countries in the world, then such a project would keep Paris very busy. One thing watching her shows has done was introduce me to who some celebrities or famous people are. I could bump into most of them in the street and not even know who they are… I actually did that with Alicia Silverstone once, and a woman named Jayne (last name escapes me), who played Dr Dian Grad on Chicago Hope.

I was also working at a bar as a Bouncer, and I carded this little girl and noticed she was from out of town. Beverly Hills, and it turned out she was apparently someone famous. One of the other Bouncers told me it was Kelly Osborne. She had been there 3 times that I know of while working there.

As for the show that many times, it might get old, so she would just have to shake up some of the challenges, contests, etc., just to keep it from getting stale.

Wow, remind me never to go to work in Dubai, that would suck, you can become an involuntary criminal via the economy.

as long as she has new challenges each time, it should have enough legs for a few more go-rounds.

if she based some of the challenges on the local cultures, outdoors, whatevers, that showcased the places, instead of just make-overs and clubs, then it could actually be really kewl for a long time – actually a combined bff & travel show. like make the contestants go bunjy-jumping or skydiving for her.

just thinking…

Rick – it’s NOT random, they’ve chosen Dubai for it’s GREAT location!!!! And if it was desperate, then how can they get the funding to shoot the third season??? It’s a successful show for MTV, and all the other GCC networks that bought rights to air it. MBC and Mercedez and Showtime are amongst the biggest sponsors of the third season, and such multi-billion dollar corporations do NOT throw their millions around like it grows on trees. To you and all the other haters, speaking as a local, it’s a great oppurtunity for both sides, so stop hating. And Charlie N, OUR ECONOMY IS DOING BETTER THAN EVER, we have not been affected like other countries because our economy does not ONLY depend on banks and such, our sources of revenue are far more diverse, and we do not only depend on oil.

ALL THE OTHER SUPPORTERS, especially the kind and polite Aussies, I hope she goes there next 🙂

ALL THE OTHER STUPID BRITONS – GET THE **** OUT OF OUR TOWN, NO BODY WANTS YOU HERE, YOU SUCK AND WE HATE YOU WALKING AROUND IN OUR BIG FAT BELLIES AND DISGUSTING LOW CLASS CHEAP BATHROOM FLIP-FLOPS AROUND OUR MALLS!
