Paris Hilton to release a new album and star in new movies

At Macy’s, St. Clair Square, where she promoted her latest fragrance Fairy Dust, Paris Hilton said her future projects include an album, a couple of films, a sunglass line and her clothing line.

She also said to the media: “It makes me really happy to see people. Everyone I’ve met (on the fragrance tours) has been so sweet. There are a lot of misconceptions and people start cruel rumors. They don’t know me. If they would meet me in real life, they would see I am down to earth. I’ve built this (fragrance and clothing) empire on my own.”

Has anyone noticed that everytime the media interviews fans at the signing events, and when they ask them “Why are you a fan of Hilton’s,” they always respond something like this: “I respect her because of all the negative stuff in the media and how she doesn’t let it get her down.”

I’ve long realized those who like Paris for different reasons, such as her projects (music, and movies, which would be Repo!) are a very small minority.

Probably these fans read and believe the same fake articles as haters do, but at least, they seem to be much kinder. Well, who knows.

But there really are two types of fans, the celebrity/Hollywood types and the project types. There are many types, actually.

I’ve probably pointed this out a millions times already, anyway.

I was sooo obsessed with that series!
then i started searching her up one day and found her album and movies and saw how she was really a very nice hard working girl and i respected her way more and became an obsessed fan 🙂 I love her and always will
People dont get why i like her though :/

People don’t really understand why I’m a fan of hers either and it really gets to me. I have so much respect for her and admiration for her. I first saw her on Simple Life and ever since then I’ve been a fan of hers. I really respect how despite being born into wealth and class she STILL works her butt off and works VERY hard and makes her own money even though she doesn’t have to. I wish people (the haters and such) would at least give her credit for THAT much at least. Cause c’mon now we all have to admit financially and everything Paris could not work another day in her life and (more than likely, I say more than likely cause I’m not access to her finances so I can’t say for certain) be well off. But YET she does still work. So at least respect that ya know?

Doug is obviously a fame-digger. Also a douche bag, sleaze, jerk, fuck face, retard… just a typical load of bullshit.

The cliché Paris fans are really quite… annoying. I mean, I’m glad they still support Paris and a large number of those ‘fans’ are the ones buying the products but they are just so clueless about Paris. They are purely her fan because of her Simple Life persona, because of her celebrity status, because of her name. My love of Paris didn’t start with the Simple Life. I watched the show, thought it was funny but to me it was purely two rich girls messing around to get some more money and more fame. Which, even now, that’s all it essentially was. Paris allowed to be a complete doofus, just have stupid fun and get away with it, all while earning heaps of $$$$$$. Paris’ music has a special place with me, not only because it is amazing but it’s what first made me a fan of hers. I actually remember the first time I heard Stars Are Blind; I was in the car on my way to school. I was going through my teen-punky-angsty phase and was acting like I was all anti-pop and this reggae; upbeat… just plain incredible pop song came on. I was dancing along to it and at the end of the song I remember the radio hosts saying ‘this is a shocker for everyone, that was actually Paris Hilton… with quite a good song! And in a couple of hours, the apocalypse will start’. After school I went out and bought the single. I fell in love with her voice and I just basically had Stars Are Blind on repeat for a whole month, eagerly awaiting the release of the album. The album came out, I remember that morning just sitting around with my coffee watching Axel Whitehead interview Paris on Video hits and as soon as I was all dressed, I rushed out and got the CD. Cranked it in the car and just was astonished. The impact a pop album made on me. It was just such a good time. It was fun, upbeat, and sexy. I enjoyed her voice. Even though she was doing the whole breathy-sexy thing and not really singing to her full potential, I still thought her voice was amazing. Paris is one of my, if not my most listened to album… ever!

Since then I slowly started getting more and more interested in Paris. I started reading up about her and her upcoming projects, which was when I discovered her being cast in an upcoming rock-opera about organ repossession. I just thought it was utterly crazy. Repo alone meant a lot to me, I’m an artist and this movie from the get go was like my imagination had been turned into a movie. The gore, the outrageous characters, rock music and a tragic tale and then to have Paris involved and singing! It was like a dream come true to me.

Her album and Repo! are by far my favourite Paris projects. The two mean a lot to me for separate reasons and each bring back fond memories.

The other aspects of Paris which make me the fan I am is her intelligence. Next to no one recognises this. I don’t think Paris is intellectual, I think she is intelligent and she is very aware of what’s going on around her and she knows how to hook into it and make money, make a success. Very rarely has one of Paris’ projects been a failure. While they may not have been a huge success, if only a mediocre success, it’s still been a success. To me, that’s still a victory. When Paris first started to become famous, that’s when the paparazzi phenomenon really started and I think Paris was one of the first people to use this to her advantage, she manipulated the media. She got her face everywhere and anywhere and as much as people hated her for it, she was getting attention and with that attention she was getting free publicity for whatever she was doing and day by day her empire was getting bigger and bigger.

Most of that probably won’t make sense, but that’s basically why I’m a fan. I’m a fan of her music and her business skill. I think she is a sweet person, an absolutely gorgeous and truly golden hearted girl. But I could never say I’m a fan of who she is because I don’t know her, I’m a fan of what she has done and to me, she has proven she is a good person even if people don’t quite see that or aren’t willing to admit it.

wow, scot, we’re like in sych! great post. i agree with everything you said. my admiration for paris’ skill is like yours. that and i truly think she is a great person. i’m always an avid fan of the underdog. it’s easy to follow the maddening crowd, its harder to be objective and just look at truth where you can see it. while most people would never think of someone like paris hilton as an underdog, in the court of public opinion, she is.

people underestimate her and are harsh towards her because she’s seen as just a rich dumb-ass. well, nothing could be further from the truth. paris is very intuitiive on how to work her niches. and of coures, despite jealous judgemental haters, the hilton family has nothing to apopligize for. while they are wealthy, they have all come by it honestly so i don’t begrudge them a u.s. penny.

and paris, growing up in a intelligent, business-savy family, has absorbed more of that know-how than most people have in their little pinkies, even those with a business degree from an ivy league school.

and i love paris, the album. i love having hard media, ie CD rather than just itunes, etc. i have probably worn out my paris cd, i think all the tracks are great. but i also was blown away by SRB, and I am defintiely not a fan of punk, i tend to be into more eclectic indies, etc. but something about paris has always resonated as very authentic and earnist.

and that is why, while i want her to find a truly great guy who gets her, is worthy of her and makes her genuinely happy, i don’t like seeing anyone else taking or being given credit for what she has accomplished against what are really great odds given the harshness of her haters. to be a public punching bag and still hanging in there AND accomplishing so much is no small feat and yet paris pulls it off. the majority of people hating on he could never do that in a million years. in short, paris rules.

scot, i owe you a drink sometime, somewhere…

It’s interesting that we all became Paris fans through the same process, haha.

It started off with the Simple Life, but it became more serious with the music album. The album was one of the reasons why I started this website. I used to be disappointed that none of the fan sites paid attention to her music and projects.

Cliché Paris fans, scot? lol But you’re right! Her fanbase mainly consists of fans who like her because she is very famous, glamerous and maybe because she’s rich. I think she understands that also. For most of them, she is a natural star, which is true in both senses!

When you see Paris in person, you realize that was born to become a star, a very famous celebrity. You also get the impresssion that she is a star, like one of the billions of stars in our Milky Way galaxy, hehe. But it’s true! It’s like she’s shining.

Since she attracts a lot celebrity type of fans, she’s pays more attention to them, but I know that behind the scenes, she works very hard to establish herself as an entertainer, singer and actress. Unfortunately, most people don’t see her that way. And also, a lot of the fans only focus on the present, the here and now.

That’s ok, though. They’re still fans, one way or the other. But I know very few us became fans by watching the Simple Life and listening to the album, and Repo!

It is pretty funny actually, but that just shows how amazing Paris album was. She made so many new fans because of it. I know I wouldn’t be the fan of Paris I am without her music.

I say cliche fans because people I know, and from most knowledge, people in general seem to assume Paris’ fans purely like her because of this ‘Paris Hilton’ image. Because she says loves it, because she says that’s hot, because she is rich, because she is blonde. All those things that in all honestly don’t mean jack to me. I don’t get how a large number of other Paris Hilton ‘fan sites’ post fake articles about Paris or post about her latest adventure to an overly priced restaurant to get dinner. I mean, I’m glad she’s gone out to have a good meal but who cares? I want to hear about her projects, her business. You admin and a majority of the other posters here seem to be more serious Paris fans. Serious in the sense that we don’t really give a damn about the gossip (although, I admit I am not happy about this Doug thing. Not one bit) and we are all really into her projects. Even though we like each project differently, we are still all interested in them. I love being able to come here and see serious discussions about Paris. Not just ‘OMG LIEK SHEZ NOT HAWET ENUF.’

This fan site is really the number 1 fan site. Without a doubt

I know an actor here in Vancouver who told me he knew Paris’s grandfather. That is true, I sense something of a star quality, a very special quality about her. The fact that so many resent her for being successful, wealthy and famous for doing things that they consider to be “less than work” is not something to fault her for, it is a credit to her great creative genius. I’d love it if she would sit down with me, and do an inventory on what she sees in me through her eyes in terms of what I could do with my strengths and I am sure she would come up with things I just never had seen. She is perhaps the greatest marketer in the world today.

Yes, she happens to be uber hot and sexy in addition to that, and I know it is true because by my own preference standards, she is not my “conventional preference” but I still am attracted to her and see her beauty and sexiness. We all have types of people we are attracted to, and now that I think about it, I don’t think I was so attracted to her at first site. She was “cute” but nothing exceptionally special, at least until I got to get a sense of her. Then she became more attractive, so I guess you could say Paris kind of grew on me.

Taste is a very subjective thing and you can’t get upset with people hating her because that is like telling a man who loves short women to start dating only the tallest women in basketball and volleyball teams.

I know a man who feels the same way about the Icelandic singer, Bjork, but I do not share his enthusiasm for her at anywhere near the level he does. I am sure that others simply don’t share the same attraction/appreciation I/we feel for Paris, too. All you can do is say your piece and let them digest it, but they may not be so open minded.

I did not always like Paris, because I simply did not know who she was. I heard the name tossed around but never knew until maybe 6 years ago.

I definitely want her next album, too. I love her music and for good reason, it appeals to my taste, and frankly, she did a great job for her first album on the last one.

I believe she is very misunderstood, a lot of assumptions are made about her, and I think she is stigmatized negatively because a lot of sheeple simply buy into the media coverage in terms of what they are trying to sell. She is woman with vast creative capacity, and a powerful business acumen, and frankly that shows intelligence, and coming from a hot blond like her, that is simply…. HOT!
