Paris Hilton to visit Quebec to present “Paris, Not France” in August or in Fall

According to Canoe, TVA Films, a French Canadian channel, confirmed today that they have acquired the rights to air “Paris, Not France” in Quebec, Canada.

Also, Paris Hilton is expected to visit Quebec to present and attend the premiere of the documentary, in August or in Fall! But the article doesn’t mention where exactly… should be Montreal.

The president of TVA Films, Yves Dion, said a few comments about the documentary. These aren’t exact quotes, since I translated them from French to English and removed some unimportant parts:

It’s a very interesting documentary about a famous star who played a character in public, but is also a businesswoman. All of a sudden, she wants people to discover the real Paris Hilton. She told me that she loves Quebec and Canada a lot, and that Canadians were real and honest.

For the first time, the movie explores the businesswoman she really is and asks this question: Why is the world so fascinated by Paris Hilton? Her parents, Donald Trump and other friends are also in the documentary. The shocking documentary reveals the real image behind the star.

She chose to play the “blonde” girl. For her, the image is also a game. Now, she wants to be known for something else. The documentary is a very important step for her, I believe. We’re proud to present it in Quebec.

Oh wow! Does that mean you might be able to meet her again? Might even get to sit with her and watch it since ya know, you’re the owner of the biggest/best Paris fan site! Well I hope it happens and you get to go see it and meet her again.

Also, Darren is asking for people to help promote Repo! He really wants a sequel… if there’s a sequel… we get more Paris. So even if people don’t like the movie, do it for Paris.. another acting gig and some more Paris tunes.. so wonderful!

I was a bit too excited when I wrote that, but there was no need to label it as “Breaking News!” lol I’ll try to be less “bias” next time.

Hrm, I don’t know. If it’s a premiere, I’m assuming that the doc will play at a theater. And maybe fans can attend it by buying a ticket? I could ask her eventually, but euh, always too shy to send her an email. lol It’d be really kewl to see or meet her again. It’d be great if we can watch it with her.

Also, I have a feeling that in the US, it will air after the finale of My BFF 2, because the finale always attracts a lot more people. They should play it right after it! Then, Paris should release the album or a single!

Yeah, I saw Darren’s post. I was thinking about making a post about it. Do you think they’ve started to make some profit?

It’s not just Paris, but I would love to see more of Repo! It’s a great great movie, and the soundtrack is awesome!

You can label it as breaking news! It’s exciting stuff, especially for you! There’s no harm in sending an e-mail, I’m sure she’d be more than happy. I mean she blogged about this site, if she’s more than happy to blog about you then I’m sure she’d really be fine with replying to an e-mail.

I’ve actually been thinking the same thing as you. It wouldn’t surprise me if they do play the doco after the BFF finale… it makes perfect sense! They could even do a Paris Hilton night. My BFF finale, new music video and then the doco. They all sort of go hand-in-hand. The documentary did start off as just an extra for her music dvd.

This may just be wishful thinking, but Paris is smart… but to me this sounds like it’s all fitting together pretty well. There’s a real nifty flow going on. We’ll see what happens though! But I think you’re right admin.

Darren also mentioned on his twitter about wanting to do some Repo! Shorts which would be rather interesting.

Yeah! Paris in Québec for a second time! I would love her to come in Québec City but well…it’s not happening for sure! I love the fact that she enjoy Quebec, it’s nice of her! Is the documentary will be air on TVA? It would be awsome! I’m a bit suprise that TVA bought the right to broadcast the movie, it’s a bit unusual. I’m really please! Would love to meet her!!

Scot, it’s the perfect plan. 🙂

Hugo,

Yeah, I’m a bit surprised that it’s TVA, who would’ve thought… lol But I’m not sure if it will air on the regular channel 10.

You should come to Montreal if she comes here. I’ll buy you a ticket if we can watch the premiere with her. lol
