Paris Hilton’s new album will be out by summer 2009

The second album has been postponed again until Summer 2009. Paris was quoted saying that it is “basically finished.”

In an interview with a Canadian newspaper, she said: “I’m just doing a couple more songs and as soon as I have time I’m going to plan out a tour. It’s just hard with my schedule.”

Paris, who was recently in Japan for promotional reasons, answered a few more questions:

Is she obsessed with being taken seriously?

“I am taken very seriously as a businesswoman, in the business world and by the people I do business with. If anyone wants to say otherwise, they have no idea what they’re talking about.”

The interviewer, Bill Harris, asked her more of the usual questions, so you can read more about the interview here (another anti-Paris article).

I absolutely love how Paris perseveres in the face of half the world saying she can’t do it, she is not taken seriously. I love her creativity, how she can make something out of almost nothing. I love how she can pie-face someone with their own negative attitudes about her, and I am proud of her for standing up against it all as it showered down onto her. Paris Hilton as woman and person made a brand out of herself, as she mentioned, and how many people in the world can do that successfully?

In fact, I would love to sit down with her and have her do my own personal inventory, to find out what she can see in me. In doing so, in my opinion, I would be getting advise from perhaps the best marketing person in the world. Paris, if you read this, if you would be willing, please let me know. I’d love it.

Much love and respect to you, Paris. Keep it coming, Babe….. I’ll buy 2 of your next album.
XOXOXO

Like you, I wonder how Paris can persevere despite all the hate and negativity directed towards her. She must be a really strong person. But maybe she should consult with a good PR person on how she can manage this cascade of negativity because all of this will undermine the brand she is creating. A BRAND will only be successful if the person behind it is well-liked. People buy branded things from celebrities they like. Paris should do something about the media so her business will succeed.

Why does she feel like she needs to show people that she is a serious business woman? Haters and most of the general public will still just assume she is lazy and does nothing. She doesn’t need to constantly say ‘I am serious! I need to be taken seriously!’ all she has to do is show it in her products and what she comes out with. Her fans and like she said people in the business world know she is serious and an amazing business woman so who else does she need to prove it to?

With this album being delayed, I’m hoping that means she is getting rid of My BFF and Paris for President. I personally really enjoy the snippets of the other songs but I hope she works with some top notch producers just to add that Paris edge and oomph. I still think the album will be amazing and we will all be happy with it. I’m not going to believe Paris will be going on tour, as much as I want to, she promised us last time and it never happened and as much as I want it to, I don’t think it will.

scot,
why dont you like Paris 4 President and my BFF?
Also about the tour i kind of agree because in her show My BBF she stated ‘I hate singing in front of people’ so i mean how could she do a tour?

I’m really excited for her second album! Everyone knows I’ve seriously been waiting for over two years. Of course I’m still planning on buying over ten copies of this album, and every single, etc on iTunes!

I really hope this tour thing works out too, she said this for her last album and it never happened. A couple more songs? I thought she said the album was done and she’s shopping around for a record label right now? I’m okay with Summer 09 for now too..

Jaime, I dont dislike Paris for President or My BFF. I actually like them both but they shouldnt be on the album. They’re to do with different things PFP was for the fake president campaign and My BFF is the song for her show. The only time I think they should be included is as bonus tracks or better yet, B-Sides for her singles.

I think Paris had done her album but because Paris is Paris she wanted it to be that bit extra. Remember with album Paris, she was still wanting to add things until the last minute. I really hope Are You With It is either released as a bonus track or a b-side on the first single.

So that means we should be expecting a single anytime soon. You know, I’m kind of worried the second album won’t be as the first one, but always hopeful. You know, the previews didn’t actually show anything different from what Britney and Madonna have already done, even though I really liked her strong voice in “Crave”. So, I think that working on making this album sound better and unique is actually very welcomed.
I really hope she brings some of the skills she learned during the Repo! times into this album. I love when her voice gets high-pitched like in “Happiness Is Not a Warm Scalpel”.

Scott,
I see what you mean..maybe it would be smarter just to release those as singles on itunes.
And ‘are you with it’ is it a song by hers?

Are You With It is a hot club track that Paris wrote herself and Scott Storch produced. It was suppose to be included in “Paris” but didn’t make it because the album was already too long. Parts of the song can be heard during her “Paris” music special that was on MTV.

It’s a really hot song and admin even asked her when he met her about it, she just said “Do you really like it” or something, I don’t remember.

I’m not sure when her first single is going to be released. She isn’t with a major record company anymore and they pay for the songs to be made, music videos, promotions, etc and I think Paris has to pay for this all herself until a label picks her up. Either a indie or small record label will pick her up, or she will have to self-fund it and make her own record company (a lot of artists do this)

With the lackluster sales of “Paris” overall, I doubt a major label will get her. I hope though that Jive/Zomba, RCA, Interscope, or someone gets her.

I think we are all going to really enjoy this album because she wrote the songs and did her way and not the record company’s way. It’s going to be straight from her, and her heart so it should be good! Just keep faith in Paris guys and wait!

Paris obviously has some cyber stalkers but it’s just a few people who write the same things under different names.

But her brand is worldwide and does not seem to be affected.
Most famous people have their crazies who write insane posts.

Did she not have her own record label as “Heiress Records”, or was that mostly funded by Warner Brothers? I think she has more talent than a lot of current “mainstream” pop artists out there. I believe that a lot of people simply want to and chose to hate her without giving her product an honest chance.

Speaking of Paris and stalkers, I heard her mention a while back that she can usually handle the stalkers herself, but one particular case kind of freaked her out. Apparently some guy showed up at her father’s office claiming to be her fiance.

I think the fact he seems to be divorced from reality might be sufficient grounds to annul that “marriage to be”. *LOL* Hmmm, you just gave me a great idea for a money-generator.

What post above makes you guys think “stalker”? It seems like everyone is supportive but have some questions about the album? Is it Scot’s post? I’m just curious because I don’t see any really objectionable comments.

I’m not a stalker D:
I live in Australia, I’ve never even tried to contact her. Ohpsht ):

/sits in corner

Trying to contact her does not constitute stalking, either. It’s one thing to attempt to locate her in hopes you might meet her, but it is quite another thing to stalk her. Stalking would be more like showing up at every event she is in, and following her constantly. Stalking is when she may have asked you to leave her alone and stop following her, yet the person continues to do so anyway.

I was only talking about cyber stalkers in general, the people who like to leave icky posts about Paris on websites.
You can always spot the deranged types.

But every celeb has them.
Just look at what they write about Miley Cyrus, and she is only 16, poor kid.
Most of the crazy stuff about celebs originates in the posters’ own nutty minds.
The same goes for Angelina and Jennifer Aniston, and others.
Must be part of the business these days, I guess.

Paris said in an interview how this guy was across from her gated community and sending her rings. Psycho!
Some people are downright scary.

Scot,
I didn’t think that you’re post was bad at all. It’s just that in a discussion about her album, some people randomly started discussing cyberstalkers and I thought that was odd. You’re post seemed to be the only one that wasn’t fawning, so I wondered if that’s what they could possibly be writing about. I’m still not sure how the cyberstalking entered into an album discussion, but it did. To each their own.

No need to sit in a corner.

From: scot

Yes, I wondered how the stalker thing came up to. ‘Jen’ just randomly said ‘Paris obviously has some cyber stalkers but it’s just a few people who write the same things under different names.’

Odd.

If having a honest opinion makes you a stalker, thats just silly. Paris’ music career is what I love most about her. Its what made me become a fan and I have my opinion about her music career.

But back onto the actual topic if the album is released in Summer in the states, is it going to be like her first album? Single out in June/July and then the album out in August? I guess it all depends if Paris secures a record deal.

There may also be the aspect that some people are absolutely giddy over the celebrity of their affections, and simply get so giddy over it that they don’t know how to display/convey their love for that celebrity without seeming eccentric or over the top. Look at how people get absolutely retarded and start crying for no apparent reason at certain concerts with certain musicians.

Those people might be harmless enough, perhaps even the guy sending Paris the rings meant well, but had no idea what he was doing was a bit strange. It’s like when you are in a rush and someone stops to talk with you and can’t read your body language when you are stretching the gap between the two of you, or looking at your watch. They simply may not know better, but of course, the worst ones are those who know better, or simply don’t care. The potential of dealing with diminished capacity is ever-evolving in today’s society as well. There seem to be more and more people medicated for mental illnesses than there should be, but that is a whole different Oprah show.
