I sometimes think that Paris is more popular abroad than in the United States. I also noticed that the media in other countries are not as harsh as the US media.

Or maybe it’s the effect of people being excited to see a famous Hollywood celebrity in their country…

She is definitely way more popular in Asia, and probably Europe and South America too, than she is in the US. I think it’s because her style is seen as really cute and the media in other countries 1) tend not to focus on negative stuff and 2) probably just don’t report on her and other US celebrities enough that people would get sick of hearing about them?

Due to a lack of equalizing social programs, the U.S. is starkly divided into financial classes of haves and have-nots. More so than any other western nation that I know of.

The American middle class is being eroded by religious and political ideologists.

This causes tremendous resentment in the people at the lower end of the financial scale, who now make up the majority of the population in our country.

A successful woman like Paris, who also was born into wealth, always makes a convenient target for angry peple.

People in the U.S. resent her good looks and her unabashed zest for living life to the fullest.

But this is more a sign of the current social turmoil in the U.S. than a reflection on Paris herself.

I live in Europe (Portugal) and the majority of the public doesn’t like her, but still it would be a huge media frenzy if she came here, because we don’t have Hollywood celebrities here everyday. (and people here got more curious about her since the one night stand with Cristiano Ronadlo…)

Gossip mags claim she had a fling with him but it’s doubtful.

Paris herself has said repeatedly that a guy has to put in effort to get her.
She is too smart to do one night stands, no matter what gossip sites try to say about her.

That may be true. I hate how Paris is always promoted as the rich heiress from a wealthy family by the media. She shouldn’t be known for being rich.

You people in the states have a lot of house cleaning to do. You let your country go to war all the time and waste so much money. Just think about the amount of money wasted on the pointless Iraqi war. A country that never threatened the US… And look at the increasing number of people becoming poor, and the economy. How can you let that happen?
