It reminds me a bit of “Barbie Girl” by Aqua. That song and its music video should’ve been recorded by Paris.

*Waiting for the full video…*

i dont like this! the video is cute but the song is HORRIBLE for a first single! The boys screamin the chorus, really ruins it i think. I know they want to play up the whole ‘paris for president” thing but c’mon it shouldnt mix with her album that she wants to be serious about. And people r already getting tired of this whole thing shes doing anyways.I dont think this song is going to do well at all. Maybe when i hear the full song itll be better, but idk. Bff sounded better than this. C’mon Paris 🙁 u can do better than this!!

Charlie, this is a very small clip and we don’t know where the video could go from there. It doesn’t sound bad and the major election coming up can really promote this album for free. I know it’s going to be played everywhere and be talked about, plus with the help of BFF her album should do fine.

Overall I think the single should have a great effect. Paris has seriously never let me down on any product, the girl knows what she is doing.

Once again, this is such a short clip, its really hard to judge. We’ll all have to wait until Sunday to see the whole thing!

muahaha
i was right people saying Paris for President and beeping synths.

/cough

I hate the guys though, they sound horrible but Paris sounds so cute. Hahah. I think its going to be a great video and clip. Like everything else Paris does this is a very SMART choice for video. Saying its a bad choice is just a dumb comment, the timing is perfect and everything.. maybe I should have been released a couple of weeks earlier but its still great timing.

The guy chanting part is really ugly but hopefully its just in the beginning of the song!

I hope this video was a theme and not just dancing and singing in front of the flag!

I’m just curious, so I want to ask… if anyone notice the entrance song played in Tyra show? Is it possible that is the official lead singles? I can’t hear any similarity between these two from the short clips, though.

Btw, I kind of love the beat of that song. I’m pretty excited when I first heard of it! It can be a very catchy/funky type of dance music.

Im not saying its a bad choice video wise, but song wise, i dont think its gonna do good on the charts. Shes up against “womanizer” britney spears and t.i “whatever u like” and “live ur life” and u think shes gonna beat these songs out for the top 10??? or even the top 20? All those songs are mainstream that everyone will like, this song is more of a funny, parody type of song. The video will do great but song wise, it seems like a poor choice. I’ll have to wait and hear the whole song…but the boys screaming is just bad lol.

PS. I have a feeling that this is just a video for swaghouse, for fun…not her first official single from her album….
Hopefully she will put out a club banger after this, if it is her single.

Paris has a good sense of humor and you can just tell that she has a lot of fun with all this election hoopla.

I’m also hoping we get to see Paris dance a hot little number come Sunday. She is such a riot.

The song has potential. The video is currently the 96th most viewed music video on YouTube. So when the full version is out, it’ll do better, hopefully. I think it could be a hit or miss.

I remember when I had uploaded the NITW video, within a few days, it became one of the most watched videos of the day on YouTube (peaked at #2)!

juju,
I don’t have your email. Send me an email and I’ll send it to you.

LiSi – the song played during the Tyra Banks show was MyBFF.

I send you this..
But its ok
I think they should have kept her natural voice like the previous album
I know the music today is all electronic style but its a wrong time for to do that and people will say she can’t sing

Anyways i love it already (i have a paris for pres shirt)

Jaime I totally disagree with you.
The vocals on Paris were done in a much more sensual, breathy style. Alot of critics picked up on this and either said they understood she was doing the whole sexy style or that she sounded like she was just doing it via a phone call.
Her voice sounds A LOT better in both My BFF and what you can hear in this. She sounds more natural and it does really sound like her. And both her songs have a lot less ‘effects’ then Womanizer or even Lady GaGa’s Just Dance/Poker Face.

well, obviously it’s all about the election issue, so it wasn’t planned until the ‘white-haired dude” made the now infamous ad dissing her a few months ago. given that, no, it’s probably not in the style originally planned for the album, and i’m sure the rest of the album will be different. i just want to hear & see the whole thing. i think it will be good.

i was wrong in my criticism of the BFF show when it was announced, so now I’m just going to trust paris and her judgment.

i like the show and find myself watching it every time it’s on.

Okay so I just bought the new Nylon with Paris on the cover (everyone go buy your issue now) and this article is sweet! It’s not a simple interview, the writer actually spent like a couple weeks with Paris and wrote an AMAZING true, sweet article about her! She let the writer into her life and the writer was amazed with how sweet and down to earth she was and seriously, you guys have to read this. It’s the November 2008 Nylon magazine US.

MUSIC FANS:
the writer was invited to paris’ house and they went into her recording studio and they said there was a picture of madonna in it and paris looks at the picture when she sings. also paris played the writer a couple of songs from her new album and the writer said its a lot more dance-y than her last album.

and taura jackson who worked on paris’ debut and is working on this album had this to say about it : “a lot of people probably never thought she’d have a second album, but when it hits, people are going to be like, ‘Oh my God, she did it again, and its good, again.’ its kind of like a graduation”

and alonzo jackson said : “other people try to preform a lot of vocal acrobatics and other things that aren’t necessary, but she is more passionate.”

Kevin,

Thanks! I will definitely check it out. I hope it’s also available in Canada.

Paris seems very passionate about music career. After reading that, now I’m more excited! I remember last year when I asked Taura Jackson if there was going to be second album, she said she didn’t know.

I’m glad that some of the people, who worked for the debut album, also worked for the second one.
Thanks again! I will post it.

I wasnt aware of the critics..yeah BFF song sounds great and more natural..i was directing it more toward this song
Which you could tell they they digatlized her voice a bit and i was saying that people will no doubt say that she cant sing.

Jaime, I think her voice sounds really natural and clear in My BFF and Paris For President compared to her last album.

Enkil, Wow you talked to Taura Jackson? If I remember correctly, she was the one that worked on Do Ya Think I’m Sexy with Paris for her debut. I remember that track having the most natural voice effect. Glad to see that she’s back on board with the same producers. I hope JR Rotem comes back as well
