Rep: Paris Hilton Is Not Going To Make A Reality Show Based On Her Rwanda Trip

ExtraTV just reported that Paris Hilton is not planning to make a reality TV show. They spoke to one of Paris’s reps, and he’s denying it and saying it’s “not true at all.”

The new reality show was supposedly going to be called “The Philanthropist.” I’m not sure about this.

Strange, because that was reported in Newsweek and not a tabloid. TMZ is “reporting” that she will take a side trip to South Africa. She reportedly wants to meet with Nelson Mandela, which TMZ ridiculed. However, they also stated that she will try and extend the hair extension line into S. Africa and make an appearance at a nightclub. I doubt that this is true.

Hopefully, the reality show thing isn’t true. I hope the hair ext and nightclub thing are equally, if not more so, untrue. At best, the media will cover the trip as a “mixed message.” At worst, and justifiably(???), they’ll spin it as “how can she go out to nightclubs or try and make$$$ when she just witnessed incredible human suffering in Rwanda? What change? How can somebody truly raise awareness of hunger, poverty and disease and then go to paid nightclub appearances a couple of days later? blah blah blah?” Accordingly, instead of raising awareness or even improving her image, it will just come across as “bad, insensitive” Paris.

There’s no harm in the reality show or the extensions, but do it on a second trip. I would NEVER mix a nightclub appearance and a visit to improve conditions in the Third World on the same trip.
Anyway, I don’t know how credible TMZ is. (I thought Newsweek was credible.) Hopefully, it will all work out in the end. I’m certain that she’s trying to do the right thing.

That’s ridicoulus and probably not true. TMZ is usually pretty creditable, but I think they were joking this time.

I think TMZ was joking. They showed Africans with potential blond extensions, it was funny.

But Lordy, have you all seen what Paris was wearing to go clubbing when she blew back into town? Black garters LOL with black thightop stockings.

I don’t know why she continues to state that she doesn’t go out that much. She’s literally out every night. In the magazine articles posted here, she continually states that she doesn’t go out that much, except for some “occasional” nights where she’s paid to do so.

However, considering that she’s out every night, wherever she is, NYC, Toronto, Vegas, LA, why not just say that she likes to go out a lot, she’s over 21, and has found a way to get paid to do so. Sooner or later, the mags and haters will call her on it and the double talk will come back to bite her in the !!@#*&.
