From what I could hear, I like it a lot. Sexy burlesque sounding and then the chorus was really quite surprising and catchy. Sounds totally different to the stage version but still with that very sensual, saucy edge.

Paris sounded utterly amazing. Vocally, I’d say its her best song to date.

They said it was just a demo but it still sounds good

I know, I cant believe this is a demo. it sounds all good to me. it actually sounds quite single worthy.

The chorus is really awesome! Too bad it’s incomplete, and it won’t even be included in the extended soundtrack.

Scot, have you heard the song “Happiness is not a warm scalpel”? It’s another great song! I’m very excited for the extended version.

Does anyone know if an extended version of the movie was played at the Fantasia Festival last summer, in Montreal?

I’m not sure, but I think I saw a longer version of the “Happiness is not a warm” scene. I might be wrong! Ohh, I miss summer, and July 18th, 2008. It was one of my best days of summer 2008!

The song sounds amazing, but looking at it, I’m kinda glad they cut it from the final version of the film because people already think Paris is “slutty” and this wouldn’t help, even though it’s a character, people are just stupid.

Admin – I’ve heard a dodgey, low quality version of Happiness is not a warm scalpel and I adored it. When Paris sings ‘I will never sing again’ and ‘I look like a crime scene, dad’ it breaks your heart. Her voice sounds so beautiful and yet so sad which was perfect for the song.

Paris’ vocals have improved so much from her debut album. I mean, I’m going to high expectations for her voice in her second album. The music in Repo was recorded in 2007, Paris’ second album was recorded in 2008. A whole year for futher improvement. If this is Paris’ ‘true’ voice (I say true voice because like I’ve said in the past, the vocals on Paris were done in a very sexual, breathy style) then I think we’re all going to be blown away. I do hope she performs live, can you imagine her doing a live performance of Heartbeat in the sader voice she uses in Happiness is not a warm scalpel.
The topic of Paris’ music gets me all excited haha.

Benji- I dont think this scene is slutty at all. As sexual and saucy as it is, its actually quite a sad and heartbreaking scene. The lengths Amber would go to for Zydrate, she throws all her morals away and puts her body on the line just to feed her addiction.

I like the light and bright Paris better. But this clip has something to be said for it.

Paris has a new fragrance coming out called Siren.

Her new blog says

‘Hello Everyone! Well I finally got back to LA after a trip that seemed like forever. It’s always such a nice feeling to land home at LAX after a long trip. I had a great time, after London I flew to Tampa, Florida for the Superbowl. It was a lot of fun, I went to the game, it was very exciting. I was bummed that the Cardinals lost, but it was a great game and a close one. When I got home today, I had a photo shoot for my new fragrance campaign Siren. I had hair that was basically down to the floor and a big beautiful gold mermaid tail. I literally had to be carried to the set, cause once I put my mermaid fin on, there was no way I could walk. I felt like Ariel from The Little Mermaid. The pictures turned out fantastic and which shot by one of my favorite photographers Mark Lidell. What an amazing photographer he is and so much fun to work with. Also, I wanted to ask you a ll a question – I loveto hear what my fans have to say. I’m thinking of concepts, ideas and challenges for the next season of My BFF Show. Post a comment and tell me your thoughts. Thanks everyone, I’ll check in again soon. Take care>
Love always Paris xoxo’

I would just like to take this time to boast how I said that the next perfume would be Mermaid themed.

I think it was meant to be slutty, scot. I love it. It’s the kind of jazz/burlesque Old School Pussycat Dolls song. it’s a pity it didn’t make it to the movie… Can’t wait to watch it in a better quality.

I saw her movie, and when it began, I was thinking I might have made a mistake. It was weird, a twisted tale of an incestuous, morbidly twisted, dysfunctional “family”. Then they take it a step further. I forced myself to stick with it because there may be something in it more than the obvious selfish, hedonistic, incestuous family, and I am glad I stayed because there was.

I agree with how sad it was to see how far Amber was willing to go to feed her addiction. It’s that way with all addicts regardless of the drug they choose to enslave themselves to.
They become less than human, and in their little rat race to one up each other, they amplify self-promotion and diminish love.
My heart sunk for poor Amber after her face fell off, and how her own father disowned her in a very public way. Looking into her eyes, you can see the tragic pain of love lost but so desperately wanted before she walked off the stage.

I have Paris’s first album, with the DVD, and I have to say that I honestly *KNOW* there are people as singers much more mainstream than she is who have not done as good of a job. I honestly feel like she gets a bum rap because people love to hate her because she leads a lifestyle they can only dream of. Instead of taking inventory of their own shortcomings to eradicate that situation, I guess they find it easier just to resent her. I’ve seen hate for her at levels so disgusting that it tells me much more about that person than about Paris. TMZ and Perez Hilton are other examples, and I truly hope Paris does not really call that five-faced-woman-wannabe a friend. TMZ has even taken down posts I had put up in defense of Paris, simply because they don’t want her shown in any kind of positive light. I think she should come out with an album, and either use a different name, or have it entirely nameless, let the quality speak for itself, and after the sales hit a high mark, then drop the bomb on just who the sexy hottie singing is! I think, sadly, though, her voice is known enough that she would likely be known for who she is…. I want to buy her 2nd album if I can get one from somewhere.

I agree about the hate, Charlie. It’s so unjustified, widespread and obsessive (not to mention, blind to facts). A lot of the hate does tend to be pure jealousy, double standards, wilful ignorance and a lot of misinformation/lack of research. A lot of people just seem to have their own idea of who Paris is and how she got where she is and refuse to check their “facts” against reality or accept the fact that they may be wrong in their assumptions.

When I first watched an episode of The Simple Life to see what the Paris phenomenon was really like, I was amazed by how different this sweet, good natured, down to earth, charming and funny person was to the general loathing that seemed to accompany any previous mention of her on the internet.

It’s funny when people complain about how overexposed Paris is, when a lot of the overexposure is haters complaining or inventing stories about her constantly or jealous celebrities running her down while conveniently promoting their latest product. Some of these haters seem to be more obsessed with the subject of Paris than some of the admiring fans. I just wish more people could see how inaccurate, unfair and downright stupid all this hate and constant scorn on Paris is.

Mona,
It’s because of time constraints! They had to cut out many scenes.

Mat,
Thanks!! This one is so much better!

Besides, you can tell that some parts of this scene were used in the Zydrate Anatomy act, during the “It takes you there—Feel alive!” sequence.

mat m. – it is a very sexual and could easily be taking as just slutty. but youve got to remember the movie and who did it. there is a lot more to Repo! then just face value. Each scene, each song, each character has meaning to everything for the gore to the sexual-ness of this clip means something.

I was just thinking, the MTV Movies Awards, do you think Repo! could be featured in it? They’re all about getting the ratings and its quite obvious Repo! already had a huge cult following thats growing each day. They could do like a medley of songs. Get everyone up on stage. Can you imagine Paris performing New Parts, that was cause so much controversy I think, purely from the subject of the song. The little christian groups getting their knickers in a twist.

Scot, I think it can be both sexy and slutty. See? There’s a reason why she’s calling herself a bitch: she is litteraly hooking for drugs.

People tend to be lazy in terms of garnering information and testing it for efficacy. If someone hears/reads a “fact” about Paris that they may have read or heard elsewhere, just because they heard it elsewhere, once or more than once, it does not make it true. It just makes it more wide-spread.

It is also a common error to hear a story about Paris, and if they heard a part of it before and did not hear about something else, they tend to assume that “well, if that other part I heard before is true, then that unknown ‘truth’ must be true to fact as well!”.

Celebrities in general can certainly be extremely shallow, self-serving, superficial, shameless and so many of them are. That is seen in scenarios where, as Django mentioned, other celebrities may want to present Paris in a negative light while shamelessly promoting their new (whatever it is this time around). I can imagine that as almost comedic as it sounds for Paris to search out for a new BFF outside the confines of Hollywood, it would be actually pretty refreshing for her to meet people that are not in the industry and uninfluenced by the events that those in the industry are influenced by. This way, she actually gets to meet some real, quality people (at least in the sense of relative numbers). There are also everyday people who can be very phony, shallow, superficial, self-serving and uncaring as people in Hollywood. The only difference is that they don’t have unrestricted wealth to use to act out, and they are generally much more accountable than a celebrity would be. I think there is more to Paris, much more, and I believe if she is exposed enough to those with depth, it might create a yearning inside her for something more than what those in Hollywood could provide. I also see Paris as a Type 7 personality whereas before I almost thought that she was a Type 3.
