Sophomore Album Is Going To Be Released On…

Well, this is an unconfirmed report. I don’t have a reliable link, but according to Bobby, the source of this information came from ProMusic, which represents music labels.

Tentative release of Paris Hilton’s second ablum should be on June 17, 2008 in the US, but of course, it will probably be postponed.

However, the latest rumour is that a new Paris Hilton album will be released in Summer 2008. Bobby sent me a link to this info, but I also decided to do some personal research, and here’s what I found.

In January 2008, many message boards reported that Paris Hilton was planning to release an album on June 17, 2008, although I don’t know if their source is from ProMusic. Also, remember what she said during an interview she did for “Hottie” this month (I think)? She said that she’s still recording and writing her songs. So I’m not sure if Warner Music has set a date, but let’s just say that this is only a rumour and not expect something, for now, until it is confirmed. It’d be really awesome if a new album gets released this Summer!

Finally, we may be excited and all, but the general public isn’t and won’t be. The failure of “Hottie” shows there’s a big problem that needs to be fixed. Hate to say it, but it’s too “risky” to release another one, at this point, unless if the new single becomes a bigger success than Stars Are Blind.

Thanks to Bobby!

The June 17th is a confirmed release date for Paris’ new album, but that doesn’t mean it’ll happen that way. Even before artists start recording their album, the record label sets a ‘goal release date’, which means a release date that indicates when they would like to have the album out. Obviously, Warner Bros. would like to have the album out in the summer, but it may or may not happen. Geffen Records gave Ashlee Simpson’s new album a November 2007 goal release date, but now the album’s not being released until April of this year.

Yeah Hilary Duff’s last album was suppose to come out on my birthday like November 21st but it came out I think April 3rd, 2007.

But then again her first single Play With Fire came out in like October LOL.

So IDK, those release dates are VERY sketchy but if they have a date like that, one is coming out FOR SURE. I have a feeling it’s going to have a Oct-Dec release. But if June 17th is when the magic really happens. I’ll die.

But like Jonas Brothers, Vanessa Hudgens have a June-July offical release date and they have BEEN done with there albums. Like Vanessa finished in Jan and Hollywood Records wants it out June 11th(i think) and Jonas Brothers already have most of theres completed seeing as they preformed 5 new songs on there newest tour and they have a date of July 8th.

Also, notice how they set a date that comes right after the release of Repo! The movie comes out in late April. Actually I think they should release a new single in early June (after Repo!) and then the album in mid – late July.

Imagine if Repo! becomes a huge success and then, Paris announces the release of a new single!

I’m counting on Repo!

That sounds perfect for me to Enkil. I just wait wait for all her 10 Repo! songs to come out and hopefully a single by June.

I disagree that it’s too risky to release another album. I love Paris. I admit I have not seen TH&TN and don’t plan on it. I’ve listed my many reasons many times before so I won’t bore you w/the details again.

Say if they stick to the June release date for album # 2. That is 4 months away. This flick will have been long forgotten by then. Besides, it’s a different medium. Musicians make movie flops all the time and it doesn’t matter.

To me what will matter most, besides top flight music & promotion, Paris has to perform ASAP live on televised events, and tour behind it. She’s never done either so the live performance cannot wait.

People believe that her singing on the first record was done by others, or it was all about auto-tuning Paris’s voice. I have heard her demos, and seen her do karaoke, so I know it was not. She already has presence and charm. She needs to practice hard and hone it. Work it.

After promising to perform and holding back for so long, if she went on Letterman to sing, and then gave her all, he would flip over it. The audience would cheer her on. There’s something visceral about live performance. The general public would at least think she she is showing some guts.

Paris has got a lot of guts. To me she shows it every day she goes out in public. But she needs to take over and take control. She can do it. There’s definitely something physical and magical about Paris when she is right there, entertaining you, live. That’s where she shines.

“…And she’ll tease you, she’ll unease you/ All the better just to please you.”

[Oh and BTW, Happy 27th Birthday, Paris! Best wishes to her & all her fans. From ’07 to 27, we made it, man.

Today to me is an international holiday. F— the flops. Bush is the worst president of all time but President’s Day still goes on. The haters tried to throw Paris away forever in ’07. But Paris is still standing. But not still. There’s no stopping the clock. Or her. She ain’t giving up. She won’t go away. It’s her life. It’s her time to shine. Time to celebrate. Twenty seven has gone to heaven on earth.]

thewaymouth is right. Hopefully people will forget about the failure of TH&TN and embrace Repo! to it’s fullest then hopefully embrace her second album.

She has the talent, all she has to do is come out with the right music for the population. Hip-Hop is dead! We need more Pop-club influenced tracks in my opinion. She needs to preform live on Letterman, Ellen, etc. She needs to preform at award shows and travel the world promoting her album with preformances, not just signings. Also she should try being a opening act for a someone big’s tour to see how people react and if she does good enough maybe even be a head liner for her 3rd album if she comes out with one. I mean Jessica Simpsons last album BOMBED I mean it was horrible, I think it sold like 300,000 copies, and she’s STILL coming out with another one. She’s going in the complete different direction with more country music.

So overall the album needs to be great overall, the whole album has to be Turn It Up’s and Turn You On’s and no more Heartbeats and Not Leaving Without You, I expect Paris to have only hits as all the songs on her albums and ZERO fillers. I mean just having her put out another album makes me happy enough, but the public needs live performances and promotions overall.

But I have a feeling Asia is once again going to embrace her music and buy her albums. As long as she releases a good poppy single like Nothing In This World.

I can wait until June 17th, but I can’t wait any longer!!!

PS
Enkil, do you know when Repo! soundtrack comes out? I really want to hear “Come Up and Try my New Parts” and all the other one she sings. Is there anywhere were we can find the original versions not with Paris singing so we can atleast hear how it sounds like?

We can throw away Not Leaving Without You, but some fans think it’s the best song on the album. Not Heartbeat! Heartbeat is one of the very few slow songs that I like. I love this song. It’s very well done.

I think you find the original songs on http://www.repoopera.com, but you have to buy them, I think.

I don’t know when the CD is coming out. I hope it gets released before the movie. Oh yes, and I CAN’T WAIT to hear it!

Just curious, speaking of launching records, does anyone know if her label, Heiress Records, has any other artists besides Paris? it was created in about 2004, which would mean, if it only had Paris, then it’s released one album in 4 years and lacks an artist roster. Plus, she mentioned it on Letterman as one of her businesses.

When did we hear an official release date for “Paris”. It came out Aug 22nd, but when was the official release date given?

OMG, I just can’t wait for her second album. I need some new music, jeez I’m in for a good summer. Jonas Brothers + Paris Hilton + Vanessa Hudgens + Hilary Duff all have a album due this summer. So far only JB and VH have a official release date.

I hope June 17th is the real date but I have a feeling it will be pushed back to maybe Sept or October. If were lucky LATE August.
