BREAKING NEWS: Paris Hilton Fights Back

Paris Hilton’s lawyer has made it official — Paris has filed a notice with the court, vowing to appeal her 45-day jail sentence.

The notice is a formality that lawyers are required to file before lodging the appeal. It does not give the grounds for the appeal, but Hilton’s lawyers must essentially prove that the trial judge abused his discretion by imposing the sentence.

Paris deserves to be punished for her “honest” mistakes, and she should get jail time. However, the conditions in the jail to which she has been assigned are terrible, and being confined there is itself cruel and unusual. If the judge can’t find another facility for her, he should give her 200 hours of community service and three years probation.

Dear Paris Hilton:

Quit whining and accept responsibility for your actions. Tell your attorney that you want to send a message to young people everywhere that you were wrong to ignore your original sentence and now you must face the consequences. Whether or not you were properly informed of the terms of your original sentence is irrelevant. It is your obligation as an adult to understand your obligation, not to to rely on someone else to understand it for you. If your appeal is upheld, fine, that’s how the system works. But don’t ask us to accept the fact that the judge did something wrong and you did not deserve some kind of punishment. Act like the mature, honest, upstanding citizen you purport to be.

Sincerely
Dean Krystek

Bravo to the Judge! This spoiled, narcissistic child thought that she was better than the rest of us. Maybe 45 days will make her understand why most people (except of a few acolytes) find her to be the height of vulgarity

I rally hope she gets out of this troble. It’s so unfair, she wasn’t even sentenced for beeing drunk, but for driving with a suspended license. Yeap, it’s really a lot worser than stealing someone or using drugs

I think she deserves every day she was sentenced to do. She is a selfish, spoiled, untalented girl whose only claim to fame is her fathers business and money. Anybody else would have been made to serve time in jail…she is certainly no better.

Why should Paris be rewarded for breaking the law?? Anyone else wouldn’t have gotten out of jail time the first time. She has a petition going, stating how she is such a hard worker, and that she is a role model for so many people. A role model for what – how to break the law and get away with it – how to party and be an exhibitionist??? She’s a disgrace and should pay for breaking the law time and again. Be a true role model and show there are consequences to your actions!!!

Paris needs to grow up…even though that is something she should have done several years back. Her mom might need to do so as well. I am so weary of folks thinking their money insulates them from human responsibility. She flaunted the law. She endangered others. She blames others. Sounds pretty young for someone her age.

I’ve seen the petition to Gov. Schwarzenegger to pardon Paris; where’s the petition to ask him to stay out of it and let Paris go to jail? Why should she escape the consequences of her actions? She’s never had to pay them before, which is probably why she whines, “”I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted and I don’t deserve this,” Hilton told photographers assembled outside her home Saturday.” Paris needs a reality check; she’s not the princess she thinks she is. Hopefully, her money won’t buy her way out of this, or I will lose all faith in the justice system.

Good lord, is anyone really going to sign that petition that completely mistates the facts. The author of this petition compares Paris to other celebs that are facing DWI charges with no jail time. Duh, Paris already faced her DWI and was ordered by the court not to drive. She is not being treated worse than any other celebs facing DWI, she was allowed to walk free after her DWI, the problem is…she wasn’t walking she was driving in direct violation of her court order. THAT, is what she got jail time for. Jason, or whatever the moron’s name that wrote this petition, “here is your sign”. You are an idiot. If I were the governrer and read this petition, it would make me less inclined to do anything for her since it clearly shows that she (since she approved the petition) has no idea of what she has done wrong or what she is being charged with. And by the way Jason, Brandy has not been charged with DWI and she has been convicted of nothing yet, including reckless driving….Paris has. Another distinction that has apparently escaped your notice. I do feel sorry for her, but I do not support her petition or pleas to continue to act in reckless disregard of the laws of the land.

If you are really concerned about us poor plebes not having Paris to fulfill our sad little lives with stories of her spoiled & pampered lifestyle, what you should realize is that the whole jail thing will be a whole lot more interesting than her bar-hopping antics. Maybe she can talk the Los Angeles district attorney’s office into letting her film it all for a new reality show. Although…watching her pick up trash on the highway might be fun too. Poor Paris, having to take responsibility for her actions. Life is SO unfair. Pass the kleenex!

Wish my daddy was rich too, but my mommy and daddy would make me do the time. I was raised with love and I was taught wrong from right, taught to respect others, you on the other hand I don’t respect. If I did wrong, I paid the price, just like Paris should do now.
GROW UP and get over it Paris, you are now living in the real world that most of us do.
Oh and by the way, next time you get drunk.. and you will again, make sure you have YOUR DRIVER take you home. I pray that you have more sense now. My Gosh do you not care if you kill an innocent person?? This just makes me sick. I so hope your time in jail goes slow for you.

She so deserves to be put in jail! She runs around all loosey goosey & stupid.. She shouldnt even have a license with all the “accidents” she gets into, driving into other vehicles and oops, running over garbage cans. OMG!! hello, dummy you can so afford a driver… and you so need one!! Your mommy & daddy obviously did not teach you right from wrong! when you are caught doing wrong – you have to pay the price, just like the rest of us non-celebrity’s! Just because your a “hilton” should not at all give you any ‘special’ rights in life! Get a grip, do your time & shut your trap! no letter to the Govenator is going to help you this time! hahaha -what a joke! writing to the Governor! too funny. JUST GROW UP! Life is not all rosey all the time! Get over yourself and put your butt in jail and shut up already! There is so much worse in life and the world beyond than you having to spend 45 measly days in jail for something YOU did WRONG in the first place and playing dumb doesnt get you out of it! Your a joke!
