Canadian Environmentalist Invites Paris Hilton To Canada’s Old-Growth Forests

A British Columbia environmentalist who appears in Leonardo DiCaprio’s new documentary “The 11th Hour” says she talked climate change with celebutante “Simple Life” star Paris Hilton and “Entourage” star Adrian Grenier this week at an advance screening of the film.”We talked about the state of forest loss,” Tzeporah Berman said of her chat with the unlikely couple, who had gossip websites buzzing after they appeared together this week.

“She was very concerned to hear that old-growth forests are being made into junk mail and catalogues. I invited her up to Canada’s old-growth forests … and we talked about ‘The 11th Hour’ and what that means both for Canada and the United States.”

The activist, who was speaking on the phone from Vancouver, says Grenier and Hilton accepted her invitation, although she surmised that their schedules might be too busy to make that happen anytime soon.

“The 11th Hour,” which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May, explains how human activity has changed the earth’s climate and how the damage can be fixed.

Berman appears briefly in the film to warn that Canadian logging practices are contributing to the death of the world’s forests.
