Paris´music career is just inexistent…

Paris has so many things going on, music is only one facet.
We’ll just have to wait until she gets around to producing something.

She’s apparently been recording for six years now & been “nearly finished” like 4 times. She keeps giving up before releasing anything & starting over.
She’s gone from doing another Scott Storch produced hip-hop/pop album, to a straight pop album with multiple producers, to a Kylie Minogue inspired pop album to a house album. All these recordings & direction changes and she could’ve had 4 albums in this time!
Sorry Dawn, but she isn’t really working on multiple things that hold her up. I remember 2006/2007 when she had SO much going on & she still got her first album out then.
Her lack of media presence these days proves that she isn’t working on much. No TV show. No movies. Nothing. Vacations all year round. Going out with friends. Spending time with boyfriend. Doing other people’s music videos & commercials overseas to put money in the bank. Controversies over her comments on the gay community. The most we’ve got out of her all year is a new fragrance. And “Drunk Text”, which she promptly tired to block anyway.
She’s dropped the ball big time, I’m sorry but it’s true. All these opportunities & she never takes them anymore. The public at large has mostly forgotten her. I’m probably gonna be branded a “hater”, as I always am when I’m realistic & critical, but I’m used to that here anyway. At least I’m honest & not making excuses.
So to sum it up; I do still like her a lot but I’ve given up expecting anything new from her because it’s just disappointment after disappointment. This is why I have up on Nicole Richie, Kimberly Stewart, etc back in the day; they had many of the same opportunities Paris did & never acted on them so it was boring following them.
If Paris does EVER come out with something worth paying attention to again (for me that would be a new show, movie or music) of course I’ll support her as I always do. But at the moment it’s unrealistic to believe anything will happen. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised come 2013.

Well, it’s her life and she can do as she pleases.
I think she did work with afrojack to get an album out but he man is a bit of a strange bird. Except for music, I don’t think he functions on all cylinders.
Anyway, time will tell in which direction Paris choses to go.

Benji, im 100% agree with u
im a HUGE fan of Paris but im not also blind,
this summer we waited so much for this album
I think most of her fans are tired of waiting for the new album
plus MOST of her fans are fans of her because of her music, movies,TV shows not because of her perfumes, shoes or handbags.
I really hope after this holidays wich are taking ages she´s gonna finally do something to her fans!

Paris has an ever-increasing number of followers. They follow her because she Paris Hilton, period, and because she is interesting.
Her music is only a small part of the attraction, especially since her last album was several years ago.
It’s not her fault the collaboration with afrojack did not work out.
We’ll just have to wait and see what she decides to do next.

Benji, I agree with everything you said. You’re not a hater, you’re just a realist.
It may not have been Paris’s fault that Afrojack decided to be a douche and not produce her album anymore, but she still worked with other producers. She still has plenty of music she could release, but she’s not/won’t. It looks like leaks are the only way we’re ever going to get new music out of her, and that’s really sad. She should just release the music she’s made and make her fans happy. I love her to death, but this year has been boring and disappointing, and with no entertainment prospects on the horizon, it kind of looks like 2013 will be more of the same 🙁

I kinda of agree. I miss the old Paris Hilton. If she wants to remain in the entertainment industry, she needs to reinvent herself. 2012 has been the quietest year so far. Oh well, there could be many reasons why things are the way they are. But I will always welcome a comeback from her. Based on her tweets, it looks she plans to launch new products.

I think ‘BFF’ was my favorite of her shows & what frustrates me most is that she was offered to do more seasons of it & turned them down because she was “growing up” & then she did ‘World’ instead which was IMO by far her most juvenile and poorly structured project.
She should’ve done at least 2 more ‘BFF’ shows , maybe one more US one & one more overseas one. I think that would’ve worked out well for her honestly. And a high profile show like that is a good launching pad for other projects. I loved the challenge in season 1 how the contestants had to come up with commercials for her brands. That was just genius marketing.
‘World’ was all about drama & made it look like she does nothing. I think it showed her working on projects ONCE in the whole season. I’m not surprised it was cancelled. It was just so poorly made. If she wanted to do a real show about her life it should’ve been like ‘Paris, Not France’ not all this fake friendship drama. The whole “staying at Nicky’s place” plot was so forced & obviously fake, she just didn’t want a camera crew at her house. Even her assistant was fake; isn’t she an actress? When a hardcore fan doesn’t even enjoy your show, you know you’re in trouble.
This would be my dream for 2013:
• New album, 2 or 3 singles with music vids, promotion, a small club tour.
• New tv show; one with a proper structure like ‘Simple Life’ (working random jobs) or ‘BFF’ (multiple contestant elimination game). Go for E!, MTV or another major network known for reality shows, Oxygen did not have enough exposure.
• A new movie role, one that would be a challenge like ‘Repo!’ I’d love to see Paris play a role like Charlize Theron did in ‘Monster’ & show she’s got good acting chops!
• A new major modeling campaign like Guess.
That might be asking for a bit much, but I’ve seen her do all these kinds of things and more in the space of a year before. What I always loved was that she could & would do anything & everything. I’d like to see her live up to her full potential again. That is all.

I completely agree. She should have at least done a BFF show in Japan/Asia and one in either Australia or South America. But I think the reason she didn’t do more seasons wasn’t just that she had “outgrown” the show, but also because the Dubai season was languishing in production/legal hell and hurt the momentum of the series/brand.
My dream for 2013 would be:
-Like you said, a new album with lots of singles and music videos
-Lots of TV interviews (Ellen, Craig, Jimmy Kimmel, etc). Part of what made this year so boring was she was never doing interviews!
-A role on next season of American Horror Story (she would be perfect for it!)
-A role in the next installment of “The Devil’s Carnival” (if they make a sequel)
