I have always loved all American stuff, like the culture, language (the fab accent!), music, movies etc. I live far away in North East, but I deal with USA every day; English websites, TV programs and stuff. Some days I just stuck up watching the travel videos from USA @ YouTube. I love to listen talking of some Americans and eat the same fast food as they eat. I think American names are gorgeous, like names of the states and places and other names. I even gave my little brother that kind of name, Kevin! So, I think I'm seriously obsessed.

I think I'm gonna move to The United States when I'm older. I'd like to live in some big city like New Jersey or NY. Smaller places are OK, but I've lived my whole life in the biggest city of Finland, Helsinki and I think I would love Big Apple. Au pair placement is an option, but I think I'm gonna stay in there permanently. I just can't wait when I talk like ordinary American, and experience this great country. Of course I love Finland, but it's just so goddamn small place to live.

Is there soulmates for me? Someone, who loves America to death? And I'd also like to chat with some Americans in example in MSN Messenger or something...

So, USA, here I come!

It's like under Italy on a map. My friend has been there, once.

Well, lucky you, I often sit on our livingroom sofa watching some American movie, sobbing and wishing I lived there... :D

And Schoolyard Heroes comes from Seattle! It's the best band on Earth after My Chemical Romance. Anyway, I wish I could speak like a true American girl. My dream is coming true, though - I've found an au pair work near San Francisco, CA for next summer! It's not a hundred percent, but I think I could do it...

I love a lot of things about America, though I seriously hate George Bush (but then so do huge numbers of Americans!). What I love most is what America has given the world in popular culture. Music like blues, jazz, rock 'n' roll and hip hop all coming out of the US. Great modern myths like the Western and the Gangster epic. Of course, Hollywood releases a lot of crap, but incredible movies like the work of Scorsese and Coppola are based on American culture and mythology and could not have been made anywhere else. Could the Beach Boys, the Byrds, Neil Young, Nirvana, the Velvet Underground, the Strokes and so many more have come from anywhere else?
I don't think the USA is perfect. Every country has problems and things that could be improved, but American culture has given the world some amazing things over the years (including Paris!) so I'll celebrate that any time!
