"Hottie" is going to be released nationwide very soon (in about 3 weeks), and I'm worried about it. It's the first movie that stars Paris in a leading role. It needs to do well. Regent may not be a big studio, but I have a strong feeling that it's not been well promoted. If they think having Paris, means instant success... that's not how it works.

All you have to do is go on the official "Hottie" YouTube account and look at its stats http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=hottieandthenottie). Less than 150 000 people have seen the trailer (without counting the trailer on its official website), compared to 500 000 viewers for Repo! I know it won't be as big as Repo!, but do you think it's enough to become at least a mild success?

Have you seen the trailer in theatres or on TV?

I hope I'm wrong, but if the movie fails, I'm going to blame it on the lack of promotion, for sure. It's easy for a good movie to fail if there's no promotion. It can reach top 10 in its first week, but then, slide down the charts pretty quickly.

Paris just started promoting it, but I'm serious when I say she needs to promote it like hell, for the sake of her movie career! I hope to see massive promotion over these coming weeks.

Its predicted that the film will make around 23,000 this weekend. 76 dollars per theater, amounting to approximately 10 people per theater showing.

I warned about this. And I know why this is happening. They should've postponed it.

But I won't analyse the numbers until next week. Also, I believe there's still chance to bring those numbers up.
