One year ago today, Paris gets dragged back into court & thrown back into jail.

One of the reasons I haven't been commenting on these posts is that I hate being reminded of that terrible time, my constant worry and sympathy for Paris and all the hate and glee being poured at her (even now after all the time Paris did, there's still idiots that think that she somehow got away with it *fraktards*).

A pox on the scum of the earth! I was so worried when Paris got released on health grounds, only to be dragged back again and suffer even more humiliation. I'm so glad that Paris has been continuing to triumph in and enjoy her life since the inhuman injustice inflicted on her.

I hear you, Django.

But I just can't forget. I don't want to forget. I don't want the world to forget.

1), I want to keep reminding the world how wrong it was and is about Paris, and for hating Paris.

2), The experience ultimately made Paris stronger, and more careful in her life. It increased her her popularity. Yes, the haters came out to play, but ultimately she won more fans, more respect, for she did her time, and still she shined.

3), As terrible as it was, it brought me closer to her. I wrote her in jail, and she wrote me back.

It brought me closer to her fans as well. Her jail sentence brought me to Paris Hilton Site.

It made me love Paris more than ever, and forced me to show it more than ever.

So what happened is something worth remembering, honoring, even celebrating - for the right reasons, of course.

I appreciate any and all comments and questions. Thanks, Hiram.

I feared that what I had to say might be unclear but ultimately I went with it any way because it said what I wanted to say and it was the only way.

I recognize there are a few foreign words and concepts involved here. But the original graphic had a foreign word that some people may be unfamiliar with. But that was what I had to start with, to deal with.

To explain...

Found "Schadenfreude" graphic, added to by me today, June 8, 2008.

1), Schadenfreude is enjoyment taken from the misfortune of someone else.

Wikipedia: "The German word derives from Schaden (damage, harm) and Freude (joy).

In German, the word always has a negative connotation. A distinction exists between "secret schadenfreude" (a private feeling) and "open schadenfreude" (Hohn, a German word roughly translated as "scorn") which is outright public derision."

May - June 2007: The world was having a Schadenfreude Fest at Paris' expense.

2), Schadenfreude is loathsome, and in the case of Paris, makes me really mad.

The way the world made of fun of her in her darkest hour, wanted her to suffer and be humiliated, and to be able to watch it all happen...

It really made me sad for Paris, made me feel closer than ever to her.

Paris has been often held up to public ridicule because she is supposedly rich and spoiled. Then the hatred toward her got so bad that she was declared by the blogosphere in the fall of 2006 to be the most hated celebrity in Hollywood.

So then when she "fell," the dogs leaped into action to tear her apart. I had already liked Paris. I became more and more protective of her, defensive of her and my liking of her.

On June 8, 2007, when she had already been released from jail, the cops came to get her, to take her back to court and likely to jail. The injustice done to her just compiled. With interest. It was most unfair to the most fair.

The whole world watched on TV and howled like jackals. It drove me to tears and it made me crazy. I was home on June 8, 2007, plugged into the internet and TV, watching and reading all the mockery and hatred of Paris. I fought back for her at TMZ, and vented here at Paris Hilton Site.

It was one of the most intense days of the decade for me, if not my life. I was watching a train that was heading toward my most favorite woman in the world... She was tied to the tracks, and I was helpless to stop it.

One good thing about it was that very day drew me closer than ever before to Paris. And it drew me out towards her. I started writing her in jail that night. I feared for her and my heart went out to her. And eventually she wrote me back.

3), Schadenfreude has that "sh" sound at the beginning, so to me it is not that far off from shit. Which to me is what Schadenfreude is. Heaping a pile of shit on someone and laughing your ass off about it.

So thus by my writing "EAT" on top of "Schadenfreude," I was turning it around on itself. I was saying, oh yeah, well you haters can all eat your joy in being hateful, can eat your own shit.

Or eat your own hate. Because hate is shit (we'll return to hate in a moment).

4), I added the asterisk (*) next to Schadenfreude, to give an explanation of what it means, and of course, what I think of it.

"A cheap holiday in other people's misery," is a chosen definition by me for Schadenfreude. It is essentially what Schadenfreude is.

The line was first used 40 years ago during the general strike in France, as graffiti on a wall in Paris, May 1968, thus...

CLUB MED: A CHEAP HOLIDAY IN OTHER PEOPLES MISERY

Later that same line was used as the first line of one of my favorite songs of all time by one of my favorite bands of all, The Sex Pistols, in the single, "Holiday in the Sun." In fact, it is the first line on their classic punk album, Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols.

5), Sturm und Drang is German as well.

Wikipedia: "The conventional translation is "Storm and Stress"; a more literal translation, however, might be storm and urge, storm and longing, or storm and impulse.

Sturm und Drang is the name of a movement in German literature and music taking place from the late 1760s through the early 1780s.

The protagonist in a typical Sturm und Drang stage work, poem, or novel is driven to action not by pursuit of noble means nor by true motives, but by revenge and greed.

The parallel movement in the visual arts can be witnessed in paintings of storms and shipwrecks showing the terror and irrational destruction wrought by nature."

I threw in Sturm & Drang because of the use of Schadenfreude in the original graphic.

As in, German on top of German. And revenge and horror on top of hate.

Because I find Schadenfreude to be ultimately hateful, vengeful and destructive.

6), ...What goes around comes around... like a boomerang. Like hate.

Hating others will come back on you. Hate will make others hate you. And hate will eat you from the inside out. Hate is the lowest of the lows to bring you low.

7), "To simple minds..."

"The simple things in life" line in the original graphic, is a common enough expression. But in this case it is a play on words, on "The Simple Life."

So I wanted to play with words, too. That's one of my favorite things in life to do - play with words. Sometimes it seems words are my only friends. Or enemies. As people don't get me, or dig me. Words are my BFF, best frenemies forever.

Anyway, bloggers on line and the media in general, hates on others. And they think they're so damn funny, they're so damn smart.

But I think hate is so unenlightened. I don't hate these losers. I pity them. I will not reduce myself to their level. I will not dumb myself down. I refuse to be stupid. I think it is stupid to show no charity or allowance to a person in harm's way. Thus simple minds with no hearts.

Simple things in life can be cheap and petty, just like Schadenfreude.

8), "Your time will be best served cold..." is a take-off on the lines "your time's gonna come," and "revenge is a dish best served cold."

"Your time" is partly a play on words. Paris had been sent home by the LA Sheriff. But then she was hijacked by the judge to go back to jail to serve her time.

Wishing others to go to jail - a nasty place I can tell you from firsthand experience - especially when they don't deserve to go to jail - which is in fact was the case with me, and then Paris - is spiteful, hateful and shameful.

We are supposed to be a Christian country. If Christ came back last year, he would forgiven and shown love to Paris. If Christ had come back then, he would have been double-crucified.

As for the proverb "revenge is a dish best served cold..."

Wikipedia: The most famous account of this can be attributed to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. This quote is also featured in the title sequence of the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill: Vol 1, accredited as an "Old Klingon Proverb", referencing the phrase's usage in Star Trek II, where it is similarly cited as such.

It means that to be successful, revenge should be a considered and planned response enacted when the time is right, rather than a hasty and 'hot-blooded' action which will increase the chances of failure.

Revenge consists primarily of retaliation against a person or group in response to a perceived wrongdoing. Although many aspects of revenge resemble or echo the concept of justice, revenge usually has a more injurious than harmonious goal. The goal of revenge usually consists of forcing the perceived wrongdoer to suffer the same pain that was originally inflicted.

People seem to wish vengeance on Paris. And she has never harmed anyone.

So I'm saying when you least expect your hate will come back and take revenge on you. Instead of shitting out your hate as you should, but rather by keeping hate inside and enjoying it, it will eat at you and rot you out from the inside.

Wikipedia:Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, where Khan's hatred of Kirk and his desire for revenge would became so intense that Khan would lose everything, even his own life in his efforts for revenge. This intense desire to obtain revenge above all else can be witnessed in Khan's dialogue:

"He tasks me! He tasks me! And I shall have him. I'll chase him round the moons of Nibia and round the Antares maelstrom and round perdition's flames before I give him up!"

Thanks so much, Hiram.

Thanks for putting up w/my lengthy comment. I do go on. And that seems to put people off.

This is bad but, if you ever watched Beavis & Butthead, when they would try to read something out loud, Butthead would say, "(Words... words... words...)."

...I feel like that is what is going through a lot of people minds when they read me, or try to, or they haven't the time to read, or just don't care to, or they just don't like what I'm saying, or I don't know what.

And it is my fault. I am not successful because I have not adapted. And I don't know quite how to connect. I wasn't made for these times.

Anyway, thank you for reading and commenting back. Loves it.

And thank you so very much for your compliment on my bling.

BTW, I quite like yours, that is the bling of your website. I love the "Paris Hilton Mexico" homepage w/the be right back message. Everything about it... the featured colors of purple and black (in that order, my third and my top favorite colors), the kiss in the top left, the toe of Paris' shoe pointing up to it, her outfit, her expression, the mirrored reflection at the bottom...

"That's hot."

PS Let us know when you're back, amigo.

Thanks a lot, Hiram. Your comment made my day. I really appreciate it. Cheers!

Well, you may or may not be interested, but you may want to check my own new "website." It's been up for nearly a month.

Who knows if it will last. It's fun doing but as you say it is a lot of work and one can work in a vacuum for only so long. It's easier to give up when no one responds. On my MySpace blog I sometimes take long breaks because no one ever comments. But I'm a writer so eventually I can't stop myself from rambling.

Why I am I rambling about this? I invited all my so-called friends from MySpace (and even from the real world - long-time friends from high school & college) to my new website/blog 1&1/2 weeks ago, advertising that they could come and "be the first to comment and bookmark." I even invited some of the people I've written about to come.

Fast forward: No comments on there yet.

So if YOU'D like to be the first, be my guest.

It's entitled

"LEGENDS OF SIRENS."

There'll be a link to it momentarily on a separate post out in the Paris Hilton forum, inviting everyone to come. I just wanted to invite you personally here, Hiram.

Please remind us here when your website is back up & running. I'll check it out.

And thanks so much again. And hey, here's an early wish...
