ELLE - UK (October)
- 10 PAGES
w/8 full page photos.

You can buy it right now on eBay for about $15. But the shipping from the UK will cost you about $29. Comes to a grand total of about $44. I would suggest trying Borders bookstore. You might be able to get it there for about $10.

In the interview Paris says that because of Rick Solomon, she can never trust a guy again. Yet a minute later, she says she can't wait to get married. And she wants to have kids next year.

...Send in the next Kevin Federline in line.

Paris of course looks fabulous. But the shots are unlike a typical Paris photo shoot. She works it just like any professional model. Cold, serious, androgynous. She even seems kind of sad. To me it all lacks that Paris pizzaz.

See what you think. Here's a link to complete set of scans.

The following shot is my favorite, the only one I really like, actually.

Mea culpa. My bad.

Despite my reservations listed above, last week I went by Borders & found there was one copy left. I couldn't resist.

Neither should any of you. EBay, anyone?

The scans are nice, but don't do the pics true justice.

Fans of PARIS the CD will be interested to note: the Elle shots are done by one of the two photographers that worked on her album photos - James White. As soon as I read that, I knew I had to look at them again. & then I had to buy it.

I believe the photos are designed to show a serious, somber, sophisticated side. Paris post-prison. She seems possibly even a little repentant, but I think more put-upon & still hurt by the experience & injustice. Overall she pouts more sadly than sexily methinks. Of course I don't blame her one bit.

They show one more side of the most slighted, the most sighted, the most exciting, the most excellent. The shots are so gorgeous, as of course is she, that even through the icy cool exterior Paris still brings on the heat & melts the heart.

Here's my other most favorite shot...

James White is a great photographer. I absolutely love her CD's photos. I'm not an expert in fashion, but I think these are very professional-looking images!
