Im really pissed with Paris as a fan.Its already end of July and we dont have any news from her music and just because Afrojack is pissed with her and they dont talk anymore!
Well now we have to wait until she will find another friend who can produce the new album (wich could be the 4th one).We should ask her “WHAT ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM” and ask for another answer further that “soon” or in “few months” sorry guys but I think if she doesnt release the new album soon i wont be her fan anymore and im her fan since 2004.

I am her ‘fan’ since 2003. I just love looking at her, and her gorgeous voice, when she talks. If Paris sings, that is a bonus.

I kind of agree with andrewstar. I’ll always love Paris because I think she’s sweet and funny, but the main reason I started following her was because of her first album. We’ve been waiting six years for her second album, and we still have very little information. I feel like she can’t be on a label because if she was, we’d know dates and titles by now. She’s given zero indication about what the album will be called, when it will be out, what the single will be, when she’s filming the video for it, etc. I don’t get it.

I’m afraid, like andrew, that she’s fighting with Afrojack and now might want to not release any of that music. She’s still in the studio recording new music, but with this DJ Poet guy. I don’t think I can maintain my interest in her music much longer.

It’s also not a smart move on her part if she doesn’t release this album very soon. Not only will she lose fans, she’ll lose credibility. LMFAO, Flo Rida, Snoop, and all the other people she’s worked with on this album will probably get really upset with her for wasting their time. She doesn’t seem to have anything else planned (no movies, TV shows, etc), so I don’t get what the hold up is. She’s always tweeting about meetings, are none of these meetings about her music?

Paris looks lovely.

Her new cologne is great and she she has enough other businesses going, I don’t care if she also persues music.

I’ve had the feeling for a long time that she is quietly seeing someone (NOT afrojack) so who knows, her plans may have changed.

Whatever she does, the decision are up to her. Fans cannot tell her how to run her life.

I went away for 2 weeks and figured the new single would be out, or at least there would be some new information by now… but nope. Nothing. I think it’s pretty safe to say that we’re not getting a new single/album. As much as I love Paris, there’s not much for me to follow if it’s all just launches of products I’ll never use/buy. Her fans don’t have the right to tell her what to do.. but when she has promised us that new music is coming soon for 6 years (she was already talking about the second album in 2006), I think we’re fine to be disappointed and a little annoyed. Especially when this time around it was so close.

but yeah, andrewstar and retrograde said it all/best.

Basically. Celebrities become celebrities because of their fans. They do have some obligation to do what their fans want. It’s great that Paris is a successful businesswoman, but I’m not gonna follow her because she makes perfume and shoes I’m never gonna buy. If there’s still no album out by September than we’ll know for sure that the project is dead, which is ridiculous and, though I hate to say it, will probably signal the end of Paris’s celebrity career. She’ll be 100% a businesswoman.

Anyone want to start a prayer circle that her music at least leaks?

Paris just raked up another 100,000 followers in the last week or so, she now stands at 8.1 million plus.

Get over yourself, retrograde.
Whether she sings or sells her merchandise, Paris will always do well.

Her main obligation is to herself and to what she enjoys doing.

Wow, you need to calm down Dawn. Telling me to “get over myself” is uncalled for. Where did I say Paris doesn’t always do well? Where did I say she couldn’t or shouldn’t do what she enjoys doing? Oh, that’s right, nowhere. All I said was the celebrity-fan relationship is a two-way street. Yes Paris is free to do what she wants, but if she wishes to stay in the media spotlight, than means appeasing her fanbase, which means giving them what they want, which, in this case, is something she’s promised us repeatedly in the past and still yet to properly deliver. Being a fan of someone doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to be critical of them. If she doesn’t want to put out another album, if she just wants to concentrate on her brands, that’s totally fine. But then don’t taunt your fans with hundreds of tweets about being in the studio recording and making numerous empty promises of a single being out “next month” or “this summer.”

Don’t worry, Retrograde. Everything you’re saying is on point. I’ll start a prayer circle with you. People do have the full 2008 album, so hopefully that eventually leaks. I actually really don’t like leaks but I think leaks will probably be the only way we’ll hear anything :/

also – I think the best fans are the ones who can be critical and say when they’re not feeling what Paris is doing. Fans who follow someone blindly with nothing but adoration are really annoying. Especially when they’re going against people who have solid complaints.

Paris attracts plenty of new followers each week, with or without a new album.

Of course, a new album would be nice.
But having a project in the planning stage is not the same as “promising”.

A myriad of obstacles can pop up between the planning stage and the finished product in any business.

Let’s all be adults about this and, hopefully, we will get some new music from Paris – when all the stars align in the heavens and the timing is right.
